NURSING CARE IN CHILDREN WITH FEVER SEIZURE IN

SAMARINDA MEDIKA CITRA HOSPITAL

ABSTRACT

Introduction: A fever seizure is the seizure of seizures occurring in children aged 1-5
years with a temperature increase of ≥ 39 °c caused by an extracranium process (outside
the head). This study aims to learn and understand deeply about the nurture of nursing
in children with fever seizures at Samarinda Medika Citra Hospital.
Method : The study uses a case study method with the approach of nursing care, taking
one case as the analysis unit. The analytical Unit is a child aged 1-5 years who is
hospitalized in a child care room with post-fever/post-seizure and fever on the first day
until the fifth day of treatment. Data retrieval methods with interviews, physical
examinations and support checks. Data collection instruments using the nursing care
format according to the provisions applicable in POLTEKKES KEMENKES EAST
KALIMANTAN.
Results and discussion : Based on analysis of data obtained conclusions there is a
diagnosis equation that arises between the two children is a diagnosis of hypertermi,
risk of injury, risk of developmental delay and knowledge deficit, And there are other
diagnoses that appear in both children including clearance ineffective breath, the pattern
of ineffectual breath, and the risk of nutritional deficit.
Conclusion and suggestion: it is expected to pay more attention to the development of
parental knowledge of the disease suffered by the child and provide health education to
the elderly on fever seizures so that parents can cope with fever seizures In the child
appropriately.
