Prediction Box
It’s so strong and can be repeated with a very
brief intermission. Just exceptionally powerful
magic that is easy to perform allowing you to
concentrate on your routine.
The Prediction Box is a beautiful box
constructed from hard wood, with a dark smoky
stain. Upon lifiting the lid a tray is seen, which
houses four numbered, square blocks (also made
of hard wood). Upon lifting the tray (which
contains the four blocks of wood) a clearly seen
unknown but pre-committed prediction (in the
form of a folded small piece of paper) rests on
the bottom of the box. The tray is then placed back inside the box and the
performer turns his back and asks any spectator to simply remove any one of the
four numbers, and hold it tightly in their hands for a period of five seconds. After
which, the performer instructs them to return the block to the tray, and let the
performer know when it’s OK to turn back around. At this point the performer
doesn’t touch anything and asks another spectator to remove the top tray again
and also remove the prediction, unfold it and read it aloud. Sure enough, in
doing so, it matches exactly the numbered block the spectator was
previously holding in their hands. No electronics used!

Magician selects a child from the audience, searching for someone that needs their
ears cleaned perhaps? That’s a strange request but the magician has an even
stranger contraption—a magical ear cleaner! A device that has never been seen
before! The child is seated on a chair and this box is put over his head, after
which a jumbo sized Q-Tip is produced! The magician starts the magical ear cleaning
process and is able to get the Q-Tip inside the box, but only just a little? What is the

The Ring Crusher is just part of the routine
developed over the years by Pete Biro.
The plot is simple. A gold ring is borrowed
and the magician (YOU) says, “With today’s
high prices for gold, we need to test your
ring to see if it is real or ‘fools’ gold.” You
drop the ring into the “tester” and turning the
crank a grinding, crushing noise is heard. With
a worried look, you peer inside and say, “An
error has crept in.” Bring out a small square of tissue paper, the ground up gold
is dumped into the paper and wrapped. You bring out a telescoping rod with a
hook on the end and hang the wrapped up gold on it... then bring out a lighter and
say, “I think a little heat might restore your ring.” The paper is lit—and in a

number secretly (the year of a special birth date,
etc). Afterward the cards are folded and put inside
the locked chest, via a small slot opening on the
backside. The box is shaken thus mixing up all
the cards inside. While the magician’s back is
turned, a spectator is given the key, opens the
chest and removes and reads aloud the 4-digit
number. The spectator is asked to
announce the numbers on the selected
card after which the magician reveals his

TMI Wallet
A wallet is given to a spectator. Inside are several
pockets, cards, stamps and currency. The spectator
removes a card from the wallet, which reads,
“Your Thought or Your Card Is (etc).” On
the reverse of the card is a circle. The spectator
thinks of a 3-digit number and writes it inside the
circle then replaces the card back in the wallet
securing it with the fastener. The performer then
replaces the wallet in his hip pocket and writes his prediction, which is not yet

Amazing Miracles By Powell
Emperor’s Orange Box
This is a limited edition illusion from Dave
Powell, constructed of solid walnut with
custom hand cast pewter corners and
hardware.
The magician displays a small cabinet with
doors front and top. The front door is opened
and the interior of the cabinet shown to be
unmistakably empty. The cabinet is then
placed on a table, the top door opened and
a length of heavy cord placed in the box.
The ends of the cord are threaded through
holes in the sides of the box and tied together
in front. The cabinet may be given to a
spectator to hold or left on the table in full view of the audience. An orange is now
selected from a tray of oranges and then made to disappear. A ring is borrowed
from a member of the audience and made to disappear, too. Attention is called to
the ends of the cord which are still knotted together in front of the cabinet. The
door is opened and the orange revealed inside the cabinet threaded on the cord.
After untying the ends of the cord, the orange and cord are pulled free of the
cabinet. The orange is cut open and, in the center, knotted to the cord, is found
the borrowed ring which maybe removed and identified by the spectator.

— the King of Hearts, the Jack of Stevens Magic sold a Jumbo Version of
