Breast Cancer Rehabilitation
The subjects covered in this training included: A review of current surgical, oncologic, plastic surgery, and
radiation oncologic treatments for breast cancer. Students also participated in manual therapy,
therapeutic exercise, and patient education addressing common sequellae status post breast cancer
treatments. An introduction to upper-extremity lymphedema screening was also given.
This course is approved for physical therapy continuing education by the state of Illinois, Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, License #216.000176.
