1. Calculate the Molarity
1. 4.45 g of CO2 in 355 mL of solution (Ans: 0.285 M)

2. What mass of oxalic acid, H2C2O4 (90.0 g/mol), is required to make 250 mL of a 0.05 M
solution? (Ans: 1.125 g)
3. How many grams of NaOH are required to prepare 400 mL of 3.0 M NaOH solution?
4. A chemist has 300mL of a 0.75M solution and needs to dilute it to 0.35M. How much
solvent should be added? (Ans: 0.342 L/ 342 mL)
5. A 40.0 mL volume of 1.80 M Fe (NO3)3 is mixed with 21.5 mL of 0.808 M Fe(NO3)3
solution. Calculate the molar concentration of the final solution. (Ans: 1.45 M)
