 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Centre of Foundation Studies (CFS) of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

is planning to hold a Deepavali celebration for students and staff. However, the CFS is facing

a problem in which they are not enough fund to organise this major event. The UTAR

Entrepreneurship Club (UTAR EC) has decided to form an ad-hoc committee named ‘Jello’

committee to participate in this flea market as a coordinating effort to raise fund for the CFS

to organise this major event. The ‘Jello’ committee consist of 5 members in which they are

given different responsibilities to set-up a stall in the 1-day Flea Market event.

The CFS need a total amount of RM3,000.00 of fund to organise the celebration event.

The CFS hope to obtain fund from this 1-day Flea Market event in which all the participating

stalls for this event will be able to contribute its profit to the CFS. The flea market will be

held at UTAR Sungai Long Campus, 1st Floor KB Block on 10 December 2015, Thursday

from 9am to 5pm.

The ‘Jello’ committee has come out of the idea of selling variety type of jelly during

the 1-day Flea Market. The committee hope to earn a net profit of RM50.00 and to contribute

its profit to the CFS to organise the celebration.

Finally, the ‘Jello’ committee hopes to be able to get approval from the CFS to set-up

a stall in the 1-day Flea Market event to earn fund for the CFS as a solution to the lack of fund

to organise the celebration event.
