Don’t’s before during and after volcanic

eruption

Don’t panic.

If there are already signs for an upcoming volcanic eruption, do not rely on

news or any other relief needs, you should initiate to provide what things

are needed like flashlight, battery and foods in preparation for any possible

instances.

Don’t run outside immediately during volcanic eruption, lots of debris aviate

in the air and might strike you.

Don’t stay near areas downwind from the volcano to avoid volcanic ash.

When it occurs, don’t stay outside. If possible, keep yourself inside your house

with windows and doors closed.

After volcanic eruption, don’t forget to cover your skin with sleeved shirts

and long pants. There are still irrecoverable smoke and ashes that could

harm your skin.

Do not drive in heavy ash fall.

Don’t wear contacts. It is important to protect your eyes. However, wearing

contacts can be counterproductive as you may eventually get eye abrasion

from possible smoke emissions and dust particles.

Don’t act in haste. Seek proper advisory.

Do not travel unless you have to. Driving in ash is hazardous to your health

and car. Driving will stir up more ash that can clog engines and stall

vehicles.
