“Agos” by Antipas Delotavo

If I would look at the Artwork of Antipas Delotavo without reading about its background, I could see
human figures, flags, torches, and a sun in the upper right corner of the picture. The people I see
here Filipinos, based on their clothing. A pregnant woman is crying while the men looks like they are
fighting against something even if they don’t want to. I could tell that this is related to other
countries based on the foreign flags.

“Peace Be With You” by Edgar Talusan Fernandez

In Edgar Talusan Fernandez’s Peace Be With You, I could see A woman standing in the middle of men
holding rifles. Her veil is red, her clothe is blue. She is holding a baby with a sign of a dove. There is
also a symbol of an “all seeing eye” on top of her. I could tell that the woman is holding something
fragile but there is peace (dove) aside from the war that is happening around her (based on the men
holding their rifles).

“Edsa Bala” by Jose Tence Ruiz

Edsa Bala by Jose Tence Ruiz shows A man holding a rifle while there are small people under him. I
could also relate this to the unending war while the people are afraid and running away in fear.

“Patay Gutom” by Neil Doloricon

In Neil Doloricon’s “Patay Gutom”. Shows men with large sacks they are holding in their heads and a
woman in a Filipiniana with men holding umbrellas for her while she walks in a Mercedes. I could
relate this to the current issues of the under compensated farmers who are working hard, while the
woman in the filipiniana dress ignores them as the men works for her.
