GRACE
She turns off her alarm very lackluster.
She rolls over and unwillingly steps out
of bed and trudges into the bathroom.
EXT: BATHROOM - MORNING
GRACE
She splashes her face with water from the
tap and looks into the mirror. A flash-
forward occurs.
EXT: WOODS – AFTERNOON – FLASHFORWARD
GRACE
She is deep inside the woods, fully
enclosed by trees around her. She appears
overwhelmed by her surroundings.
EXT: STAIRCASE – MORNING
GRACE
She plods down the stairs.
EXT: KITCHEN – MORNING
GRACE
Grabs a banana, no waiting around looking
elsewhere, she just goes in and out of the
room without acknowledging her
surroundings.
EXT: HALLWAY – MORNING
GRACE
She unlocks the front door, and walks out
without looking behind her. She closes the
door loudly with no regard for the rest of
her household – it is early.
EXT: KITCHEN – EVENING
Various different shots of the GRACE’S MUM in different
locations of the kitchen.
 GRACE’S MUM
Grace’s mum calls Grace quite a few times,
all receive no answer leaving Grace’s mum
panicked.
EXT: ALLEYWAY – AFTERNOON – FLASHFORWARD
GRACE
Walking nervously down a dodgy looking
alleyway. She is filmed constantly
subconsciously looking behind her, as
though she’s expecting someone to be
there.
EXT: KITCHEN – EVENING
GRACE’S MUM
She is nervously biting her nails, tapping
her feet and hands. Her fear is rising and
she picks up her mobile and calls the
police to file a report for a missing
child – Grace.
POLICE OFFICER
“999, how can I help you?”
GRACE’S MUM
“I would like to file a report for a
missing child”
EXT: LIVINGROOM – MORNING – NEXT DAY
GRACE’S NEIGHBOUR
They step into the living room with a mug
of coffee in one hand and slump into a
chair. While taking a sip of their coffee
they ask Alexa to tell them the local
news.
“Alexa play my local news”
ALEXA
“Here’s your news”

 NEWS REPORTER
“Fifteen-year-old Grace Jones has gone
missing after leaving her house in the
early hours of yesterday morning. Thames
Valley police are appealing for anyone who
has seen her to come forward. Grace is
described as being around 5ft tall with
long blonde hair. She was last seen
wearing black leggings and a black hoodie.
Have you seen her?”
EXT: GRACE’S ROOM – EVENING
GRACE’S MUM
She peers through Grace’s door,
disappointed but unsurprised to see it
exactly how she left it, with no sign of
life. She walks in and sits on the bed
with her head in her hands. Eventually she
leaves the room and shuts the door behind
her.
EXT: HALLWAY – EVENING
GRACE
With her head down, she slowly knocks on
her front door, stepping her feet from
side to side.
EXT: GRACE’S DOORWAY TO ROOM – EVENING
GRACE’S MUM
Whips her head round in shock and
anticipation for who may be at the door.
