7. Salar de Uyuni is the largest continuous and high salt desert in the world, it is estimated that the
Salar has ten billion tons of salt from which 25 thousand are extracted annually, with an area of
10,582 km² It is located in the southwest of Bolivia within the highland region of the Andes mountain
range. The Uyuni salt flat is one of the main tourist destinations in Bolivia since it is visited by
approximately 300,000 tourists every year. In November it becomes the breeding ground for
flamingo species. Uyuni is access for all the wonders of southern Bolivia that makes a common
border with Chile and Argentina, and also with Peru.

On the banks of the salt flat there are several hotels built with blocks of salt, characteristic that place
them among the most extravagant hotels in the world.

As 40,000 years ago, the aerial was part of Lake Minchin, a gigantic prehistoric lake. When the lake
dried up, it left as its remains two lakes, Poopó and Uru Uru, and two large saline deserts, Salar de
Coipasa and the greater Uyuni.

8. Plitvice Lakes National Park is a place where lakes, waterfalls and springs of spectacular beauty
alternate. The park has an area close to 30,000 hectares, 22,000 of them covered with forests.
Declared a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1979.

The Plitvice Lakes National Park is very wooded, mainly of beech, fir and pine trees, and has a
mixture of the Alps and Mediterranean vegetation. It has a great variety in particular of the plant
communities, due to its range of microclimates, different soils and different levels of altitude.

The area is also home to a huge variety of animal and bird species, in addition to receiving more
than 1,200,000 visitors a year. The hard-to-find fauna, such as the European brown bear, the wolf,
the eagle, the owl, the lynx, wildcat, and the grouse are found here, along with many more common
species. At least 126 species of birds have been registered there, of which 70 have been registered
as their own offspring in the park.

Throughout the park there are more than ten restaurants and / or buffet, where we can taste
different dishes. This set of lakes, waterfalls and streams, surrounded by dense vegetation, is a
World Heritage Site and is usually considered one of the most beautiful natural sites in Europe.
Much of its fame is due to the fascinating turquoise blue that acquires water in some of its lakes.

9. Moraine Lake is a mountain lake located in Canada, which can only be accessed from June to
September, since the road is blocked by snow the rest of the year.

Moraine Lake, with a total area of half a square kilometer, is fed thanks to a glacier. Therefore, it
reaches its maximum level during the second half of the month of June. Without a doubt, one of the
main attractions of this lake is its beautiful blue color, which is quite common in the lakes of the
area, known as Icefields Parkway. This beautiful hue arises from the refraction of the light that
causes the rock dust deposited from the mountains. Although seeing it closely is a real wonder, the
truth is that it is worth observing the lake from the high rocks. Around the lake there are several
hiking trails that are sometimes closed due to grizzly bears.

10. Iceland's highlands extend through most of Iceland's interior. They are mainly in a little
inhabited volcanic desert, because the water that precipitates like rain or snow that infiltrates so
quickly in the ground that it does not allow plants to grow, which results in a largely gray earth
surface, black and white, lava and volcanic ash, which means that it is an uninhabited land and is
hostile, raw and wild. That is exactly the reason why this region contains so many natural wonders

Some of the most volcanic parts of Iceland are found in the Highlands, they can only be crossed in
the Icelandic summer (from June to August). During the rest of the year the highland roads are

the Icelandic highlands.

11. Whitehaven Island or Whitsunday Islands is a national park in Australia, located 926 km

Green turtles, striped blankets, hundreds of amazing colorful fish species and some coral shark can
be seen on every dive. A marvel.

The more adventurous and with less budget, have the option of free camping on their own, there is
a maximum of 36 people allowed camping, which makes you practically alone on this beach when
the tourist excursions have left.
