Description of Support Sessions and Assignments

Support session 1. Inequality (Monday September 9th)

In this session students will prepare the first written assignment.

Assignment 1
Each student should write a short report (up to 3 pages excluding references, tables
and figures) in favor or against Universal Basic Income (UBI) in a given country (of
your choice). Arguments should refer to existing empirical and/or experimental
evidence as well as the theoretical effects of UBI.

Assignment 1 is due on Monday September 16th.

Support session 2. Technological change (Monday September 16th)

In this session students will prepare the second written assignment.

Assignment 2
Each student should write a short report (up to 3 pages excluding references, tables
and figures) on the effect of technological change on unemployment. Arguments
should refer to existing empirical and/or experimental evidence as well as the
theoretical effects of technological change on unemployment.

Assignment 2 is due on Monday September 23rd.

Support session 3. Globalization (Monday September 23rd)

In this session students will prepare the third written assignment.

Assignment 3
Each student should write a short report (up to 3 pages excluding references, tables
and figures) on the economic impact of Brexit. Arguments should refer to existing
empirical and/or experimental evidence as well as the theoretical effects of Brexit.

Assignment 3 is due on Wednesday, October 2nd.

Support session 4. Policy (Thursday October 3rd)

In this session students will prepare the fourth written assignment.

Assignment 4.
Each student should write a short report (up to 3 pages excluding references, tables
and figures) on the effect of Democracy on Growth. Arguments should refer to existing
empirical and/or experimental evidence as well as the theoretical effects of
Democracy on Growth.

Assignment 4 is due on Friday October 11th.
