Assessment
Assessment will be informal and determined through answering questions. It will also be

determined through participation and ability to perform the Eb major scale as well as

their piece, Westwind Overture.

Future Lessons

Future lessons will focus on the same conducting activity, but also with adding in

articulations along with dynamics. This will be reinforced when playing through their

pieces Westwind Overture and The Dragon.

UDL
Representation: I will verbally explain dynamics using normal vocabulary before giving it a
label. I will also write the terms on the board for a visual as well. I will also show dynamics
physically through my conducting.
Engagement: Each student will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of and
understanding of dynamics. They will participate in an activity that requires no verbal
communication.
