AMUL- India’s Pride:


Amul is an Indian dairy cooperative, based at anand in the state of gujrat,India.The word amul is derived
from the Sanskrit word amulya,meaning invaluable.Amul also stands for Anand milk Federation Union
Limited. Amul gave birth to India’s White revaluation as a result of which India became
the world’s largest producer of milk and milk products. It also
ventured into market overseas. Amul company was established in 1946
and christened in 1965.Originally marketed by The Kaira District
Cooperative Milk Producer’s Union, Anand, it was taken over by the
Gujrat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation(GCMMF) in 1973.
