Sports Board Member

Role Descriptor
As member of the Sports Board you will take an active role in the decision-making
process on various aspects of the sport season. Some of these decisions may be made together
with the teacher, but in other instances the Sports Board will be sole decision-making body.

Your Tasks / Duties may include

 Advising teacher on policies governing the Sport Education season.

 Making decisions regarding fair play violations.

 Planning the competition schedule.

 Dealing with disputes between teams.

 Providing the teacher with feedback and ideas.

 Planning and preparation of the Culminating event.

 Assuring that the Sport Education season runs smoothly day-to-day.

 Ability to be fair, responsible and impartial.
 Be a role model for your peers.
 Willingness to work with others to solve problems
 Attending to students’ concerns.
 Punctuality and dependability.

Desirable Skill / Attribute

 Willingness to meet with the teacher the rest of the Sport Council member outside of
class.
