Prelude

Alatar calls together a council of the wise, Around 25 people total attend. It is held in the Council Hall
in the Ring of Isengard. The Kings and Greater Lords are mostly preoccupied and have sent underlings.

Alatar has received news from 2 sources in the East and South that darkness is rising and could be a
threat to the peace. The wisest know to heed Alatars’ wisdom and contacts. The High King and the
lords have approved a small fellowship with a mandate to research all Libraries and Halls at will and to
travel into the East.

To Identify who is behind the uprising and to ensure it is not Pollando. Glorfindel, Lord of Eddellhond
Kings District volunteers his service publicly. The other 8 members are all known to Alatar beforehand.

The Group travels after from Isengard to Agrenost and Outfits at Steves Home. March to Tims home
the next day, seeing several nervous and rushing guards on the roads. Alatar leaves that night and
returns with the dawn, riding a great eagle and bringing his comrades.

Stage 1
Nordinbad Valley is guarded by 3 successive walls across the gap. Stage 1 is the afternoon of day 1.
Outer towns are lost and the PC’s must guard the retreat at the wall breach.

Stage 2
The morning of day 2 the enemy is at the final guard wall. The group is directing the defense. A chunk
of wall is blown up and the Child leads in the vanguard.
