Week Two (Week Four)

CODE OF ETHICS

I. Paper, scissors, rock to determine which player will begin the game / serve first
II. Shake hands with your opponent before and after every game
III. No swearing, put downs or bad sportsmanship
IV. Respect your team members and opposition teams
V. GENERAL RULES
- If shuttlecock hits the beam, begin that point again
- If shuttlecock lands on the line its a play on
- When Shuttlecock hits the ground in the oppositions half its a point
- If shuttlecock hits the net its your opponents point
VI. SERVICE RULES
- Singles games; MUST serve from behind the short service line
- Doubles games; MUST serve from behind the long service line
- Underarm serve
- Below the waist of the server
- Opposing player can’t move until the server, serves and the shuttlecock is ‘live’
