Your project should have the following elements:
· Synopsis - This is a summary of your idea and should include
the purpose of the experiment, procedure used, data, and
conclusion
· Research paper - A research paper should be prepared and
must be available along with the project data book with relevant
written material. A research paper helps organize data as well as
thoughts. A good paper includes the following sections:
· Title page: Centre the project title, and put your name, address
and school
· Aim / Objective: The introduction sets the stage for your
report. The aim includes your hypothesis, an explanation of what
prompted your research and what you hoped to achieve.
· Scientific Principle Involved: In this section describe the
principle involved.
· Material Used: List all the items used here this will help you
in working out the final cost.
· Method: This section describes how you did the study.
Describe in detail the methodology used to collect your data or
make your observations. Your report should be detailed enough
for someone to be able to repeat the experiment.
· Include photographs or drawings of self-designed equipment.
The research work conducted by you may have taken more than a
year. In such case, include this year's work only.
· Discussion: This is the essence of your paper. The results and
conclusions should flow smoothly and logically from your data. Be
thorough. This should let the reader know exactly what you did,
compare your results with theoretical values, published data and
expected results. Include a section of possible errors. How did the
data vary between repeated observations of a similar event? How
were your results affected by uncontrolled events? What would you
do differently if you were to repeat this project?
· Conclusion: This section describes the findings and
conclusion of the project. Briefly summarize your results. Be
specific, do not generalize. Never introduce anything in the
conclusion that has not been discussed.
· Further scope of project: This is a step further; here you
describe the future scope of your experiment.
· Acknowledgement: You should always give credit to those
who assisted you; they may be individuals, educational or
research institutions.
Reference list: Your reference list should include any documentation
that is not your own (i.e. books, journal articles, include specific
internet url’s.

8. Economics  As  part  of  your  curriculum,  a  research  paper  has  to  be  submitted
online  on  Google  classroom  latest  by  August  16,  2019.  You  may
choose  to  write  a research paper on any one of the topics suggested in
the  list.  The  paper  must  have  a  title  page,  main  content,  and
references.  The  paper  should  be  typed  in  font  size  11  (Book  Antiqua)
and  should  be  at  least  8  pages,  including  tables,  diagrams  and
references.  For  the  final  submission  the  project  should  be  spiral
bound.

Steps involved-
1. Students  select  a  general  topic  for  research  and  make  a  list  of key
words  to  help  search for information, and get an overview of their
topic.
2. Students  become  “research  hounds”  when  they  spend  as  much
time  as  possible  finding all the research available. This is probably
the  most  time-consuming  part  of  the  research  paper.  Students
refine  their  research  subject  and  write  a  statement  of  purpose  on
their chosen topic.
3. Students  brainstorm  questions  about  their  focused  topic,  begin  to
create  an  outline  and  start  thinking  about  the  first  draft.  They  list
more  keywords,  identify  the  best  sources  to  use,  begin  making
note cards, and create a “working” thesis statement.
4. Students  write  the  body  of  their  paper  from  their  outline  and
notes and then the introduction and conclusion.
5. Students  spend  time  finalizing  the  citations  and  completing  the
Works Cited page.
6. Students  now  must  carefully  evaluate,  revise,  and proofread their
paper.  This  is  one  of  the  most  important  parts  of  the  process, and
it’s also the one that students tend to do too quickly. Once finished
with  the  laborious  writing  of  the  research  paper,  they  must  go
through  this  part  of the process more than once in order to submit
their very best work.

Please Note-
1. Submissions after the deadline will not be accepted.
2. Intentional plagiarism will not fetch the student any marks.
3. The  data  in  the  research  paper  must  include  various  statistical
tools,  their  interpretation  and  conclusion  must  be  drawn
accordingly.
4. The paper will carry 20 marks and will be assessed as follows-

Rubric for Grading the Research Paper
S.No.  Heading  Marks Allotted
1.  Relevance of the Topic  3
2.  Knowledge Content/ Research Work  6
3.  Presentation Technique  3
4.  Viva  8
Total  20 Marks

12. History  Students will be conducting research work for their 1st Term Project.
Details can be found in the Google Classroom.

13. Fashion Studies  The labels of most brands and designer labels bear their names. The
statue and reputation of the label is associated with high prices
attributed to design exclusivity, craftsmanship, quality, etc The pret
label of the designer usually derives from their couture lines reflecting
similar aesthetics but at affordable prices.
Identify the designer of your choice who has both prey and couture
labels and discuss his designs and differentiate between his main
label and pret label. Make a PPT discussing all of the above points

introduction,  statement  of  purpose  and  methodology  and
Presentation  of  Evidence. As per the topic chosen, please start
reading  up  newspapers,  magazines,  surf  the  internet  for
relevant  evidence.  Once  you  have  identified  your  evidences,
start  summarizing  them  in  your  own  words  and  explain  how
and why they are relevant for this topic. Please put these in the
order  in  which  they  are  mentioned  i.e.  Index,
Acknowledgement,  Statement  of  Purpose,  Methodology  and
Presentation of Evidence.
