ENGLISH
As per the instruction given by CBSE, class XII students will prepare English Project
Work. Select any one of the topics given below.
1. Write an Article on one of the topics given in 1000 words. This can include graph,
diagram and visual inputs.
a. Impacts of war on mankind.
b. Life in children in slum area
c. Child labour - condition in my city
2. Write a script for dramatization based on the story "The Last Lesson".
3. Take an interview of a child working as a Rag picker or working in a dhaba, house or
shop. Write the conversation of the same with your observation. Please include
pictures.
4. Write an article on "climate change and its impact on mankind". Include data,
diagrams and visual inputs.( 1000 words)
5. Analysis of the theme of " The Last Lesson" (Background - historical, cultural and
literary context) in 1000 words.

PHYSICS
1. Maintain a Practical file ( Evergreen) of Physics.
2. Write down below mentioned 4 experiments in each Section A & B as per the
instructions mentioned in NOTE.
3. Prepare any one investigatory project from the suggestions given below.
4. Prepare Chapter Electric field and Charges, The Potential and Capacitance Current
Electricity, Magnetic effects of Electric current for CT-2.

Section- A(Experiments)
1. To determine resistivity of two/ three wires by plotting a graph for potential
difference versus current.
2. To find resistance of a given wire/ standard resistor using metre bridge.
3. To verify the laws of combination(parallel) of resistances using a metre bridge.
4. To find the frequency of AC mains with a sonometer.
Section- B ( Experiments)
1. To find the value of v for different values of u in case of a concave mirror and to find
the focal length.
2. To find the focal length of convex mirror, using a convex lens.
3. To determine the angle of minimum deviation for a given prism by plotting a graph
between angle of incidence and angle of deviation.
4. To draw the I-V characteristic curve for a p-n junction diode in forward and reverse
bias.

5. Maintain an activity file having the record of below mentioned 3 activities in each
section.
Section-A
1. To measure the resistance & impedance of an inductor with or without ironcore.
2. To measure resistance , voltage( AC/DC), current (A) and check continuity of a
given circuit using multimeter.
3. To assemble the components of a given electrical circuit.

Section-B
1. To identify a diode, an LED, a resistor and a capacitor from a mixed collection of
such items.
2. Use of multimeter to see the unidirectional flow of current in case of a diode and an
LED and check whether a given electronic component ( eg. Diode) is in working
order.
3. To observe refraction and lateral deviation of a beam of light incident obliquely on a
glass slab.

Suggestions for investigatory projects:


1. To study various factors on which the internal resistance / EMF of a cell depends.
2. To study the variations in current flowing in a circuit containing an LDR because
of a variation in
(a) the power of the incandescent lamp, used to ‘illuminate’ the LDR
(b) the distance of a incandescent lamp (of fixed power) used to illuminate the LDR.
3. To find the refractive indices of (a) water(b) oil using a plane mirror,an
equiconvex lens and an adjustable object needle.
4. To investigate the relation between the ratio of (i) output and input voltage and
(ii) number of turns in the secondary coil and primary coilo of a self-designed
transformer.
5. To investigate the dependence of the angle of deviation on the angle of incidence
using a hollow prism filled one by one , with different transparent fluids.
6. To study the earth’s magnetic field using a compass needle bar magnet by
plotting magnetic field lines and tangent galvanometer.
7. To study the factor on which the self-inductance of a coil depends by observing the
effects of this coil, when put in series with a resistor in a circuit fed up by an A.C.
source of adjustable frequency.

CHEMISTRY

BIOLOGY
To prepare a project file on a topic of your choice from the syllabus (strictly approved
by the subject Teacher). Moreover, following points to be followed while preparing a
file:
1. File cover should be hard like a practical file properly covered and labeled.
2.The file pages should be interleaf in the range of 15-25 in number.
3.Content should be solid and explorable.
4.It should contain related colorful and knowledge granting diagrams/pictures,
according to the content displayed on pages.
5.Focus should be on complete knowledge of the topic taken.
6.It should be handwritten and not typed.
7. Index page to be included but without a column of Teacher Signature.
8. The project file should end with Conclusion and Bibliography without which the
project will be considered incomplete.
9. It should contain a printed certificate page and acknowledgement page.( provided by
the teacher as a unique format.)

MATHEMATICS
Activity
1. To find analytically the limit of a function f (x) at x = c=4 and also to check the continuity
of the function at that point.

2. To draw the graph of sin−1 𝑥, using the graph of sin x and demonstrate the concept of
mirror reflection (about the line y = x).

3. To demonstrate a function which is one-one but not onto.


4. To verify that the relation R in the set L of all lines in a plane, defined by R = {( l, m) : l
|| m} is an equivalence relation.

5. To construct an open box of maximum volume from a given rectangular sheet by


cutting equal squares from each corner.

FINE ARTS
General instructions:
➢ Students are required to make paintings on the topics given below.
➢ Half size cartridge paper should be used and 1 inch border can be made on each
painting.
➢ The paintings should be of good quality as they will be counted for the final
submission.
➢ Black colour should not be used to paint natural objects like fruits, vegetables,
trees, flowers etc.
➢ Some images are given for your reference. Students can refer to other images
as well or choose the objects of their choice.

1. Make two still life/object drawings (one coloured and one in pencil shading)
consist of minimum three objects. Special attention should be given to the
proper effect of light and shade. Some images are given below for your
reference.
2. Draw two landscapes (one coloured and one in pencil shading). Some images

3. Draw andcolouraflower. It should be comprised of at least one flower, one bud,
stems and some leaves. Special attention should be given to the softness and
