•FORMAT FOR PREPARING THE PROJECT REPORT
The write-up should focus on the specific objectives of the project, Action Plan, Introduction,
concept of the related topics, any other relevant and the major findings (about the author/ poet;
their work & contribution).
The report should be brief, with the number of pages of the main content of the report being
can be 8-12 pages (approx. word limit 800-1000 words).

2. POWER POINT PRESENTATION: PPT Presentation on any one topic by each student
of 3-5 minutes on any one relevant topic of their syllabus. The presentation will be Shared to
the respective faculty on their email id in PDF Format.
3. BOOK REVIEW: Students will read a novel of their choice and write a book review in
about 500-800 words in their notebook (Language note book)

Roll no 1 to 10 (PCM) : To study various factors on which the internal resistance/EMF of cell
depends.
Roll no 11 to 20 (PCM) : To study the variations in current flowing in a circuit containing an
LDR because of A variation in (a) The power of the incandescent lamp, used to ‘illuminate’ the

two identical Styrofoam (or pith) Balls suspended in a vertical plane by making use of
Coulomb’s law.
Roll no 7 to 16(PCB): To study the factor on which the self-inductance of a coil depends by
observing the Effect of this coil, when put in series with a resistor/(bulb) in a circuit fed up
by an A.C. source of adjustable frequency.
Roll no 17 to 26(PCB): To study the earth’s magnetic field using a compass needle bar magnet
by plotting magnetic field lines and tangent galvanometer.

Scientific investigations involving laboratory testing and collecting information from
other sources A few suggested Projects.
a. Study of the presence of oxalate ions in guava fruit at different stages of ripening.
b. Study the quantity of casein present in different samples of milk.
c. Preparation of soybean milk and its comparison with natural milk with respect to curd
formation, the effect of temperature, etc.
d. Study of the effect of Potassium Bisulphate as a food preservative under various conditions
(temperature, concentration, time, etc.)
e. Study of digestion of starch by salivary amylase and effect of pH and temperature on it.
f. Comparative study of the rate of fermentation of the following materials: wheat flour, gram
flour, potato juice, carrot juice, etc.
g. Extraction of essential oils present in Saunf (aniseed), Ajwain (carum), Illaichi (cardamom).
h. Study of common food adulterants in fat, oil, butter, sugar, turmeric power, chilli powder
and pepper. Note: Any other investigatory project, which involves about 10 periods of work,
can be chosen with the approval of the teacher.

Visit modern offices/banks (minimum two) in order to understand the general office
procedures.
After the visit, prepare a Project Report which should include the following-
1. Routine, reception, and higher-level duties of a private secretary.
2. Mention about the changing profile of a secretary in today’s world of work and how he/she
is using IT (Information Technology) skills for completion of daily tasks viz. letter typing,
preparing presentations, scheduling appointments, practicing e-filing, indexing, holding
meetings etc.
3. Based on your observations, identify your strengths and weaknesses for the skills you
observed. Set your goals which can be measurable and attainable for next three months. To
attain these goals in consistent manner, prepare a daily agenda and prioritize tasks of the
day.
4. All these activities should be recorded in the Project File mentioning the details of the offices
visited, people
contacted, and your observations on the above given tasks.

Both in Western and Asian civilization, draped apparel has preceded cut and sewn fitted
garments giving each ensemble a distinctive look worn both by men and women. The manner
of draping the traditional six-to-nine-yard sari is indicative of the geographical location in India
where the wear resides. There are several traditional sari drapes in India. This activity is
intended to provide students with hands-on practice of recreating drapes of ancient Indian
garments.
1. Refer to books, magazines or internet and collect pictures of different sari drapes. (Atleast
five)
2. Select any one ancient draped garment from the chapter (sari antariya, uttariya) and paste
pictures.
3. Find out historical or contemporary personalities whose photographs always show them in
uniform and paste pictures. (At least 5)
