Split is a 2016 American psychological horror thriller film directed and produced by M.

Night
Shyamalan and starred by James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Betty Buckley. In this film,
Casey Cooke is a teenager, having been molested as a child by her uncle, John, her legal
guardian since her father died from a heart attack. This shows that Casey have her right to
get protection from her blood relation as her father died.
One day, Casey attend a birthday party and at the end of the party, she was offered to ride
home by her classmate, Claire and Claire’s father, along with Marcia, Claire’s friend. The
help shows that they are live in a freedom of discrimination community. As the girls waited
for Claire's father in the car, he was knocked by unknown and Casey, Claire, and Marcia,
were kidnapped by Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man that suffering from dissociative identity
disorder (DID). Kevin was in therapy with Dr. Karen Fletcher, who has identified 23 distinct
personalities of Kevin.
As they arrived at a bungalow, the girls were placed together in a lock room. They smartly
think on how to escape from the room as the house has a lot of lock door that can’t be
avoid. Marcia attempts to escape but is caught by "Patricia". Casey befriends "Hedwig",
another one of Kevin's personalities that is a 9 year-old boy. Casey convinces "Hedwig" to let
her out of her cell to see his bedroom, believing that there might be a means of escape
through the window "Hedwig" has described in that room, but she finds that it is only a
drawing of a window. She takes a walkie-talkie from Hedwig and uses it to call for help, but
she does not get right of personal security as the man at the other end thinks it is a prank.
Dr. Fletcher visits Kevin's home, where he reveals before, that he has met "The Beast",
which is the 24th personality. Realising that "Dennis" may have abducted the three missing
girls to serve as a sacrifice to "The Beast", Dr. Fletcher feigns going to the bathroom,
searches the house, and finds Claire. "Dennis" suddenly appears, sedates Fletcher and locks
her up as well. This scene illustrates that the Dr shows responsibility on her patient and
sacrifice themselves.
