Carmen National Agricultural High school utilizes pragmatic approach. The child
is viewed as an active element whose purpose is to live and grow this means that the
child’s needs, interest, abilities and purposes must be taken into considerations. It
stresses learning by doing or experiencing and experimenting. The school is converted
into a living and creative influence. The students are taught skills and values that are
relevant to real life setting. Learners are more exposed to activities and immersions so
that they will be ready for the world of work. Socialized teaching and learning are
utilized. Thinking and reasoning are emphasized in the teaching- learning process.
Effective teaching, activities and good questioning stimulate thinking and reasoning in
which the abilities of a child are maximized.
