Students are asked to record the interviews on their phones and ask questions they develop in advance. The goal is to learn about different jobs and practice interviewing skills. Multimedia Activity!!!

You are going to interview 3 people in your life (parents,

grandparents, coaches, teachers, etc.) on your phone.
This means you will be recording them, and you will be
asking the questions live!

The goal of this activity is to gain insight on different

professions that are in our everyday lives. We are also
practicing our interviewing and questioning skills.

In the interview, you will be asking them questions that

you will create before the interview. Questions that you
ask can be:
 What does a day being a _____ consist of?
 Have you always wanted to be a ______?
 Any other questions you would like to ask.

Requirements:
o 3 interviews
o All interviews must be 2-3 minutes long
o Interview questions must be written out (and
approved by the teacher) before the interview
o See attached rubric.

Everyone will share one of their interviews with the class

by sending the video to the teacher. Before each video is
shared, you will preview your interview for the class (who
you interviewed, why did you pick them to interview, is this
a profession you are interested in, and so on).
