2 of Sun Zhijun supposed disciples are in Singapore, but they teach the modern wushu style

Greg Johnson Sha Junjie has his HQ in Kunming. He has tudi in a few places, my teacher is in Shanghai.
Eamonn Devlin I know the above video (Luo De Xiu) wasn't put up as an example of good 6H movement,
but shouldn't good Baguazhang also use 6H ? Or is it something else ? The combinations of moves in the
video look very nice - but it all looks very 'shouldery' to me. Especially at 1:42, the release looks like an
abrupt shoulder push.
Bruce Ching Interesting critique, Eamonn. But if you slow down the clip to 1/2 speed, you'll see that the
release at 1:42 is from the middle of the back--at about the level of the bottom of the scapulae--after
the previous part of the move has loaded.
Eamonn Devlin Bruce Ching That does indeed show it more clearly. I guess I was, not very accurately,
including the scapulae within a general definition of 'shoulder'. But, in any case, still some distance from
the lower back (ming men).
Edwin Tan I agree. The way he goes into Santi looks wrong to begin with, looks very mechanical to me. I
don’t see Qi nor Jin
Vivek Ramakrishnan I met a few of his students that teach in the US and they don't have basic Jin. I
would not bother if Qi and Jin are your interest.
