Auras, aka "qi" can be seen if you look closely enough.

Notice that here is a picture of Saint Zuckerberg, aka "Sugar Mountain" and if you look closely, you can
see the emanation of his qi-field around his head. People in the East/Asia have talked about the fact that
some people can see the "auras" of other individuals because their vision can register the fields of othe
people. The idea of auras and haloes has been around a very long time.

Neal Winkler Yet no one has proven it. They could have gotten $1,000,000 from the James Rhandi
Foundation for a claim like that.

Bogdan Heretoiu Are you alright Mike?

Mike Sigman It's a joke, Bogdan. Usually, if my lips are moving, I'm making a joke.

Bogdan Heretoiu Mike Sigman I was joking too. At your joke. I bet even your lips move from the Dantien.

Alfonso Adriasola I can’t see this I was told once by a therapist that she could see my aura flowing out of
my feet as I sat there wondering what on earth was I doing there.

Richard Shandross Ummm... OK

Richard Shandross I do see light streaming from this black monolith I'm holding.

Tom Osborn Perception depends on the perceiver (as well as the subject of perception)...

Mike Sigman Guys, I made that post with tongue in cheek. ;)

Alfonso Adriasola oh shoots i had a whole follow up with how the celestine prophecy ... never mind

Paul van Stratum All hail Zuckerberg

Emir Parkreiner i never saw any of the like

Ferran Pim Pam yes, this is exactly why I don't talk about this... have a nice day, people!
Daniel Poon We are not dismissive of auras. However, we argue endlessly on this list about something as
mundane as lifting up an arm and moving it in a circle. God help us if we start talking about auras!!

Tom Osborn Picasso created many masterpieces by perceiving scenes in his own personal way. A lot of
nut jobs have their own kinds of perceptions, but are not yet acknowledged...

Mike Sigman I spoke one time to Liang Shouyu about people seeing auras ... I wasn't serious, but just
making conversation ... and he said something like, "Oh, yes ... some people can 'see' the qi around
other people". I should have explained that first.

Dana Sheets In Chinese medicine it is very easy to see the five element color of someone on their face
once you know how (and remarkably accurate.) I do wonder sometimes if the folks who can see auras
are also on the synetshete (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia) continuum. I know an
acupunctuist who sees color when feeling pulses on patients. The part that's interesting is that
synethesia is a unique genetic mutation so very few synethes see the same thing. However, there are
reports of aura seers (of the same cultural backgroun) concuring on someone's aura. That makes me
lean more toward the idea that they're extending the five element color principles to the concept of
aura. The level or lack of color someone has can also give you an indication of their overall chi or
dysfunction.

Synesthesia - Wikipedia

Mike Sigman I agree, Dana. I mentioned that a few years ago about synesthesia probably playing a role
in the process. Hard to say, of course. The redeeming factor is that while all of the "aura"/qi-field stuff is
interesting, it's something that both CXW and Feng Zhiqiang have dismissed as not important, in
historical interviews.

Dana Sheets Mike Sigman I don't think it is important for 6H. Based on endocrine cycles related to
causitive factor (your fundamental element bias) it does make a difference for treatment choices. Some
argue it has a role in kyusho but that neither a topic for this forum nor something people could
realistically consider while thumping someone.

Graham Barlow "if you look closely, you can see the emanation of his qi-field around his head." - er,
what?

Graham Barlow Oh right, it's a joke.

Mike Sigman Yeah, I'm mostly making a joke, but there's a part of me that wonders where various
religions in the world used to portray holy men as having a halo/aura around them? It's interesting to
speculate, isn't it? Also ... where did the concept of a "Holy Spirit" come from? We may be treading
some well-trod ground about stuff that used to be commonplace.

Graham Barlow The concept of the Holy Spirit is from the Shamanic concept of the 3 realms. For the
same reason, there are 3 lines in a trigram. 'Heaven - Man - Earth' in Chinese, Holy Trinity, etc.. It's a big
subject.
Mike Sigman But it's obviously a small world, isn't it? So much overlap from the ancient times.
