Candidate Orientation under RPL-4 assessment

Orientation training of all candidates is required to be conducted before


scheduling the assessment. This document provides a point wise guide for the
candidate orientation by Employer Assessor:
1) It is required to make all the candidates aware of the performance criteria
(PCs) for candidate’s job category. During Orientation, candidates must be
made to learn various performance parameter /PCs specified for their
respective job category and about the main parameters/qualities on the
bases of those assessor shall be assessing and awarding the marks under
practical assessment. Assessor are requested to must enter/highlight any
special feedback/appreciation/rewards/qualities (if exists or observed) of the
candidate in remarks column during practical assessment.
2) Candidates should be informed about the criteria for assessment i.e. that each
Performance Criteria (PC) has been assigned marks proportional to its
importance in their job role. They are required to be informed that assessment
is based on Theory and Skills Practical for each job role. Theory and Practical
is having approx. 40% to 60 % ratio i.e. theory 40 % and Practical 60 %.
3) The assessment for the theory part will be based on the PCs only.
4) Assessment will be conducted for all NOS, and where applicable, on the
selected elective/option NOS/set of NOS.
5) Every trainee should score a minimum of 70% of aggregate marks to
successfully clear the assessment.
6) In case a candidate is unable to get required marks /unsuccessful, the trainee
may seek reassessment after a duration on 6(six) months.
7) Candidates should be made aware about the various modes of digital/online
payments and how to use them for receiving payments from customers.

8) After successful registration of candidates on SDMS, user id will be sent on


candidate’s mobile phones;
Please advise all the candidates to keep the same mobile number up to
completion of his assessment. Because at the time of candidate login, OTP
will be sent to that mobile number only and candidate can login with OTP
only.
9) Advice all candidates to mark their attendance on orientation day and
assessment day necessarily by signing on the attached format/or any
format/register provided by assessor.
10) Advice the candidates for latest Aadhaar card for registration in case they
have made some correction in their Aadhaar card.
11) Candidate is not allowed to write the questions on paper etc. during online
assessment neither he can take any picture of the online exam screens.

12) Assessor is requested to educate the candidates for following steps;

a) how to login on the exam portal with mobile OTP.


b) When candidate login on the site, it will ask for mobile number and an
OTP will be sent to candidate on mobile. With that OTP only, candidate
can login into exam portal.
c) how to select and start the exam on screen
d) What are the options available for answering the questions like CLICK
NEXT, CLICK PREVIOUS, FLAG etc.
e) Assessor need to give time period (35 minutes) to all candidates in a
batch to complete assessment based on theory
f) Theory and Practical Assessment of a candidate is required to be
completed on same assessment day.
g) Assessor is required to inform the candidates about the
h) In case any candidate is unable to read or understand the question,
assessor is requested to facilitate the candidate in understanding the
question, assessor can himself or can take help any of the
supervisor/manager available at site for reading questions in
hindi/regional language for that candidate.
i) Advice all candidates about bank details for online transfer of
appreciation award. If they have an active account linked with
Aadhaar card they need to provide details of that account only. If they
don’t have any bank account linked with Aadhaar then they can give
other bank account in their name but that account must be in active state.
j) Please advise candidates that Aadhaar card is mandatory (other than NE
& J&k), if they want to be covered they need to apply for Aadhaar
card and give you the enrollment number but assessment can only
be conducted after they got their Aadhaar number.
k) Please advice all candidates not to change their employment location
before completion of assessment.
l) It is also required to be told that if a candidate failed the exam (don’t get
70%) he can reappear for assessment after a period of 6(six) months
only.
m) Candidates must be advice that assessment is possible only in
presence of assessor and if try to attempt from anywhere else he will
be disqualified from exam for future.
n) Assessor can also show the video tutorial/sample exam online
to candidates during orientation.

Candidate login

1. Click on Sign in with OTP

2. Enter mobile no.
3. Click on SEND OTP button.

4. OTP will be sent on candidate registered mobile no.

5. After enter OTP (sent on mobile) candidate can Log-in in the system.

6. And start the exam

After Log in ,following screen will be there ;


Candidate will click on start exam.

Exam will be started.
