years old.
Majority of the respondents are teachers, next to the majority are housewives,
employees, and vendors. The least are doctors.

The level of pain experienced by the patients that undergone through Type 1 incision in
pain numerical scaling are higher compared to the verbal pain scaling. In type 2
incision, the verbal pain scaling has higher score than the numerical pain scaling..
3. What post operation complication were observed?

According from the data that was gathered, bleeding has the most number of cases of
complications that happened to the patients. While dehiscence had the lowest
occurrence to the patients.

Figure 2 Type 2 Incision

The two figures above shows the difference of pain scale (verbally and numerically)
between type 1 and type 2 incision. The data that was gathered and analyzed shows
that type 2 incision has a higher scores in both numerical and verbal pain scaling. And
this only shows that there is a significant relationship between the level of pain and the
type of incision.

Based on the comparison of the findings of the study, Type 1 incision had the lower
score in pain scaling (verbally and numerically). Which means that Type 1 is more
recommended due to its low scores of pain.

Comparing the post operation complication of each type, type 1 is easier to anticipate its
possible complication which we can modify by practicing proper wound care. Therefore,
based in the findings of this study, Type 1 incision is more recommended in
thyroidectomy.
