| BUSDUCT BUSDUCT SUPERIOR DESIGN Superior design integrity and advanced manufacturing processes have kept Tamco at the very forefront of busduct manufacturing. The busduct system manufactured by Tamco since 1989, has been continuously improved in line with IEC 60439-2, UL 857 / ASA / NEMA. As a result of this, Epoxy Insulated Busduct is now even more value added, and offers the most reliable insulation. Tamco operates an |SO 9001 quality system “EY FEATURES High resistance to water ingress Superior resistance to chemicals 2.5kV rms 1 min 6kV 1.2/50 us rated impulse test HOUSING The CP4 busduct housing is non-ventilated type and constructed of 1.6mm mild steel. It is coated with light grey paint (code no. 631 to BS 381 C semigloss finish) through Tamco’s Cathodic Electro Deposition paint line which delivers anti-corrosive and anti-abrasive surface protection, which is far more superior to other painting systems employed in the switchgear industry. The paint work has been proven to withstand minimum of 1000 hours of 5% salt spray test, in accordance with Japanese Standard: JIS-2-2371 COMPLETELY RE-USABLE CP4 busducts can be readil dismantled and reinstalled if requ during electrical system upgrades and modifications at site. (@ONSTRU SS-FRAME The CP4 busduct has 3 basic constructions designated SS-Frame, S-Frame and L-Frame. BAUSBAR Copper Conductor Phase and Neutral Conductors FIRE RESISTANCE Fire resistant rated busducts for critical electrical services are designed and manufactured to IEC 60331 and BS 6387 standards. (IEC 60331 : 750°C / 3 hours) All Burbars are made from electrical grade HDHC (hard-drawn high-conductivity) copper (99.5% pure copper) and are tin plated for the entire length. Tinned copper busbars have the advantage of improved surface-to-surface contact resistance and provide excellent corrosion resistance. Metal Housing Epoxy Insulation SANDWICH TYPE Fenlch Type CONSTRUCTION Consrcton The Lframe busduct has a ‘Sandwich’ ‘Ground Conductor type construction, wealslon where the busbars are sandwiched together to provide compactness and low impedance. INSULATION All phoses and neutral burbars are epoxy coated to provide Class H insulation (180°C). Epoxy insulation has outstanding electric and thermal properties BFOINTS Straight lengths and joints are joined to each other using standard ‘joint packs’. A joint pack is pre-assembled to each straight length and elbow for easy installation. The joint packs are designed to aid proper alignment of the two sections being joined, and the joint covers provided will ensure the integrity and earth continuity of the busduct enclosure. The joint bolts which are insulated and trapped in the joint packs may be checked even with the busduct energised. Recommended tightening torques are as follows: 61Nm (45lb-ft) for MODELS CP4-1025 ~ CP4-1055 101Nm (75lb-ft) for MODELS CP4-1075 ~ CP4-3150 The MODEL CP4-1012 joint packs do not require bolting. PLUG-IN FLEXIBILITY Tamco plug-in busducts come with plug-inholes(tap off positions) on one side at intervals of 600mm (i.e. a 3- meter plug-in busduct will have 5 plugin holes). This feature gives the user more flexibility during installation. Users also have the added advantage of adding extra plug.in boxes, if required for future expansion. As an option , plug-in ‘openings can also be provided on opposite sides of the duct giving the user up to 10 plug-inholes per 3 meter length. ITS cPé offers the user plugin units (or Tap-off units) ranging from 15A to 800A. The tap-offs are equipped with MCCB's (Moulded Case Circuit Breakers) of interrupting capacities up to 50kA, Shunt trip coils and auxiliary switches are available as options. The same plug-in units can be used right across the whole range of CP4 plug-in busducts. YNCCESSORIES A comprehensive range of compatible fittings and accessories are offered to make the CP4 a complete and versatile busduct system. These include but are not limited to: © Flange Ends * End Feed Cable Boxes * Elbows (Flatwise & Edgewise) ‘* Hangers (Vertical, Horizontal & Fixed) * Fire Barriers © Transformer Tap Boxes © Wall Flanges * Tees & Reducers * Expansion Joints * Offsets Please refer to the CP4 Technical Details Publication for dimensional details.
