 Title of the Project: Non Governmental Organization Management System(NMS)
 Project Summary: This project aims to computerize the administration of a NGO. The
NMS software is designed as there are several aspects to this, including getting estimate
of funds needed for the NGO to continue its operations for the next year, getting the list
of students to help in case of limited funds, getting the list of donors to be contacted in
case of shortage of funds and maintaining a record of all expenditure. There is also a web
portal for the registration of new donors and blog of the NGO. The origin of this problem
is the need of automating and computerizing the operations of an NGO. All the data
including the information of donors, students, volunteers etc is stored in database. The
user interface helps the management to extract information from the database. The
software takes care of the communications between the database and the user interface.
 Technical Details of the Projects :
o Origin of the Proposal: We aim at creating the project of NGO of our college
called Helping Hands as currently its working is done on paper and we will be
trying to digitize the process.

o Definition of the problem : The main problem is the large amount of

paperwork as well as complexity to maintain that paperwork and lack of
proper management of the donations received.

o Objectives:-We aim at eradicating the problems faced by the NGO hence

providing a better interface to work with.

 o Methodology:-We are using agile methodology for the project, as this way we will
be able to complete our work in most efficient manner.

o Organization of work element: The work is divided among a team of three

members and respective tasks are assigned according to member’s proficiency
level.

 Utilization of the outcome of project: Non Governmental Organization Management

System would help increase productivity of the NGO by reducing the time required in the
operations of the NGO. It will also increase the accuracy of the work done.
