Introduction
The aim of this report is to explain whether the college should have
a study center or not, and make recommendations. In order to do
this, it was visited a study center at a local university.

Positive reasons
The current situation shows that has a study center bring a variety
of benefits, for the following reasons.

 The worksheets provided give extra practice of classroom


work.
 The facility helps to attract potential students to the college.
 People from the community use the facilities.

Negative reasons
There are some negative benefits of investing in a study centre.
Some of them are:

 Writing material for the centre is time-consuming for the


teachers.
 A full-time assistant has to be on duty even if the centre is
empty.
 Many students still prefer to study in their own rooms.

Recommendations
A study centre bring both benefits and drawbacks. However, there
are more benefits so it could make more competitive the college.
For this reason, it should be considered investing in have one.
