A Mother
A Mother
A mother-daughter relationship isn't just a relationship of two bodies but of two souls. It is unique and
stands out amongst all relations in the whole world. Its hue of ease hides itself its very complexity which
becomes challenging at many crossroads in the course of life. Begging the question, what makes it such
a wonderful relation? With the first breath of life, all a baby wants is the warm and comforting touch of
her mother who calms her down and lets her know she is safe, unconditionally loved and is the most
precious little person. Every cry, uneasiness or the fear upon waking up after her sleep demands her
mother's presence. And she, being a complete devout, tends to her till she is satisfied, be it in sickness
or health. Upon growing up our mother's perspective towards our needs changes. As we enter our teens
we find her advices irritating and many a times perceive her a discouraging fellow interrupting us at
almost every junction of our life. Yet her love is as unconditional as ever, even if we are too blind to see it
at the time. And when upon growing up we shine bright and are capable of facing every obstacle the
world has in offer for us, its only cause is that we have our mom as a mentor 'always' by our side. She
can be an annoyingly accurate tipster, jumping on every chance to say 'I told you so'. She is a
counselor,a teacher, a synthesizer, a support system. An all in one package, she is a true best friend.
What a mother truly means is defined when we have to live and make it on our own in life. But does she
ever leave us completely? Not really, her advices and lessons live with us forever and after. The deeds
that she taught us are enduring. Our mother is our back-bone, our all time gossip partner and a true
champion who can better us at anything and everything. Her light-hearted teasing can leave us
dumbstruck, her sarcasm is a killer. She is one person we ought not duel with debates. She instinctively
knows what is best for us. But then the question every daughter stands up with is, if she loves us so
much then why is she always against the things we wish to do? The only answer we will get is because
she is way too concerned. We humans don't come with any manual or a guide to teach us how to live.
We have a mother to take up that daunting task. A mother can substitute anyone in this world, but no
one in this world can do that around. She is gem of a person and a true replica of god. We should be
forever thankful to have a person like her so truly dedicated to us. It is completely arduous to imagine
our life without her. Mom, you are forever and more loved!
