ACTIVITY 7

Love and hate are the strongest opposites in our dichotomous thinking. Why then
unhappy love often turns into deep hate and ruined relationships? A person in love
loves everyone. This overwhelmingly positive feeling can change the world
dramatically. A person in hate is an enormous destructive force, that creates an
abyss of violence and desperation.

Have you ever experienced real light of love and real darkness of hate?

Love may be more powerful than hate because, as the song goes, love can lead to
hate, whereas hate would never, even metaphorically, produce love. Love is more
powerful because it gives birth to new positive challenges. Love changes a person,
enriches the world, extends the horizons, enhances opportunities, brightens
friendships, and deepens emotions. A person in love has a specific aura, a peculiar
kind of energy that is given off, scattered in all directions, like the light of the
myriads of stars, sliding through ages, celebrating Juliet, Laura, Natasha, Ophelia,
Desdemona, all those love stories, powerful in their complexity of feelings and
emotions, all about eternal love.

But love can fade. It simply disappears, vanishes. So powerful to disappear, or love
never goes away. Love’s components are intimacy, passion, and commitment, with
all their variations. Consummate love that balances them all is rare. If Romeo and
Juliet had lived longer, would they have loved each other with the same intimacy,
passion, and commitment? I have doubts. Love is powerful because it can
transform. It is, in fact, a transforming process of evolving relationships, in which
intimacy remains stable.

Who ever lived to hate? Love is powerful because it drives, navigates, directs, and
makes our existence meaningful. Hate invites loneliness, whereas love denies it.
Hate ruins personality, whereas love opens it up. Hate results in acts of violence,
whereas love leads to amazing acts of kindness. Hate destroys, whereas love
creates. Hate is war, whereas love is peace.
It is impossible “to love to hate”. It is always “love” that gives birth to “love”. That’s
why love is more powerful than hate.

Discover your powers. Discover love in yourselves. Be sure you’re more powerful to
love than to hate. Keep love inside, and all will be always fine.

ACTIVITY 10
HAS TECHNOLOGY HELPED PEOPLE CONNECTED OR ISOLATED THEM?

Technology is a way that all six billion people in the world can communicate with each
other. We can follow people from all over the world on Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr,
Twitter, and many more social media sites. Technology gives us ways to communicate
with celebrities, your child that you recently sent off to college or the world, and your
friends and family who live in different states than you. Technology in video games
allows us to play in multiplayer mode with our friends, while being at our own houses.
New advantages with technology is that we can text, call, and use the internet all on one
device. Also, technology plays a great role in the medical field. I do not think technology
isolates us from society, I think that technology connects us with one another in a
unique way.

Embrace new ways of connecting with the world and the people around you.

Make a difference. Be it to someone (perhaps an overseas grandchild who’s never

heard your voice) or to some cause, use technology to make the world a little better.

Share what you learn with others. That will connect you to more people in ways you
can’t imagine.

Even in the face of headlines that scream “Fake News!” or “Beware Your Privacy!”, I’m
more excited than ever before by the possibilities for connection and community across
our entire planet.

I hope you’ll share in that excitement, and take action, however small, to embrace it.

ACTIVITY 11
I want you to know that, no matter where you are in life… No matter how low you have
sunk… No matter how bleak your situation… This is NOT THE END.
This is not the end of your story
This is not the final chapter of your life.
I know it may be hard right now
But if you just hang in there
Stick it out
Stay with me for a little while…
You will find, that this tough moment will pass, and, if you are committed to USING this
pain, using it to build your character, finding a greater MEANING for the pain, you will
find that, in time, you can turn your life around, and help others going through the same
struggles.
It’s estimated almost half the population suffers from depression at some stage
throughout their life.
Rather than join the cue, it’s important we it’s learn why we get down, and then how we
can change it, because believe it or not, we create our own negative feelings and we
can also ensure that we turn our lives around and be a positive change for others.
The reason anyone gets depressed always comes down to the CONSISTENT thoughts
we think, and the CONSISTENT beliefs we hold.
Let me say that again.
The reason anyone gets depressed always comes down to the CONSISTENT thoughts
we think, and the CONSISTENT beliefs we hold.
The only way out of this is to work on yourself, every day.
In school we are taught how to get a job, but no one teaches us how to live in a state of
happiness. No one teaches us how important our conscious and unconscious thoughts
and associations are.
Is our happiness not worth more than a job?
Yes it is.
And before you say, happiness won’t pay my bills – happiness WILL pay your bills,
when you realize you will be 10 times more energized, focused and take positive action
in your life, when you FIRST choose to develop yourself as a priority, and THEN get to
all the “stuff” of the world.
I’ve seen some people, who many would consider to “have it all” end their life because
they thought they were not good enough.
A thought, a belief within them told them they were not worthy.
These people that many were jealous of, many envious of, were not good enough.
You must value yourself enough, to take the time EVERY SINGLE DAY to work on you.
To engage in something, that will ensure you are a positive influence on the world.
This of course doesn’t mean life will suddenly be perfect. The same life-challenges will
show up, but if your mind is strong, if you mind is at peace, your REACTION to the
challenging times will be very different.Your reaction will be HOW CAN I MAKE THIS
WORK, not ‘why is this happening to me’
And then others will look to you, not with pity but with HOPE, because your strength will
become their HOPE, their strength.
You really can be that powerful.
You can ditch the victim story, you can leave the pain behind and FOCUS on how you
will react next. How you will react positively.
Read. Read all you can read to get your mind in a positive place.
Take steps to ensure you will be in a better position next time – whatever pain you are
suffering – how can you ensure it won’t show again –Take little steps… and soon you
will be at the top of the stair case.
Don’t give up
You are worthy
You are more than worthy!
You deserve to experience how great life can be – and you owe it to the world to be that
positive change for others. To inspire others – who will look to you and say – he did it,
she did it, and I can do it too.
