INSTRUCTION: Portray five position and grasps with a partner. Please wear proper
attire (PE Uniform will be considered)

1. ABRASETE POSITION - Girl at the right side, holds R arm of partner with her L
hand, free hands down at the sides. This term is of Spanish origin and is used in
Rigodon and in other dances. Arms in Lateral Position - Both arms are at one
side, either sideward right or left. This may be done at soulder, chest, or waist
level.

2. INSIDE HAND HOLD -  The hand near one's partner when they stand side by
side. JUMP Spring from one or two feet and land on both feet. LEAP Spring on
the supporting foot and land on the other foot.
3. HIP SHOULDER/ SHOULDER WAIST POSITION – This is also called

as peasant folk or Danish dance position. Partners face each


other with hands of B placed on the waist of G. Hands of G are
on the shoulder of B.

4. OUTSIDE RIGHT POSITION - he outside right position (or right parallel) is


similar to the basic closed position, with the exception of the placement of the
feet.In the outside right position, the female partner's feet should be to the right of
the male partner's. 
5. OUTSIDE LEFT POSITION - The outside left (or left parallel) position is also
similar to the basic closed position. Again, the only difference is the placement of
the feet. In outside left position, the female partner places her feet to the left of
the male partner's feet
