Or in its original name, la commedia, a long narrative type of poem written in Italy circa
1308-21 it is divided by 3 sections which are the inferno, purgatory and paradise. A
journey of Dante and Vergil through hell and paradise
9 levels of hell
Greed – level where people who are greedy are punished. Parted into two sections,
which is the first section belongs to people who selfishly stored away so many assets
and the second section is for those who sumptuously disburse it.
Anger – enraged and agitated people lies within this circle of hell, where they are
punished for their sins battling one another in the river Styx and where sulky bad
tempered are being drowned.
Heresy - where heretics is placed, in this circle people that defies god and don’t believe
that the soul is immortal is punished, where they spent eternity entombed in flaming
crypts.
Violence – a level which is constructed with three rings. The outer ring constructed with
blood and fire made for murderers and hoodlums. The middle rings are where the
people who commit suicide go, where they are turned into trees and to be eaten by
harpies. The inner ring is made of burning sand constructed for blasphemers and
sodomites
Fraud – the eighth level of hell which is divided into ten parts where all types of con
artists go and punished.
Treachery – the ninth and the final circle of hell which is a frozen place occupied by the
greatest traitors ever existed and where Satan is where at.

Moon – place for uncertainty, the inconstant, those who made unstable vows
Mercury – place of chastity, the ambitious, those who did right chiefly for glory
Primum mobile – place of trust, the angels, surrounded by nine circles of angels and
where at the center, god is residing.
