SEJARAH SEPAKBOLA

Historically, this sport has been known in China since the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC, namely during
the reign of the Han Dynasty. At that time the Chinese people used leather balls and kicked them
into small nets.

Besides in China, the game of soccer has also been known in various other countries, such as Japan,
Greece and Rome. Japanese, Roman, and Greek people at that time did this game for fun.

Modern football began in England by enforcing basic rules so that the game became increasingly
popular. Although this sport had been banned because it was considered to contain violence,
football turned out to be increasingly known to the world community.

Until finally in 1904, the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) was formed. FIFA is
the international governing body of football which was founded on May 21, 1904 in Paris, France.

Football then becomes a sport that is contested between countries to fight for the World Cup. The
first World Cup match was held in 1930 in Uruguay which was won by Uruguay
