Create a PowerPoint
Presentation on Booker T.
Washington and W.E.B Du Bois.
Include: WHO they are, WHAT
they did, WHERE they did,
WHEN they did, and WHY they
did. The PowerPoint should also
include images supporting your
5 W’s for each of these
historical figures.

pertaining to each of the
questions. Questions include:

mainly employ? How did the

American Law? Why was the

Among Negros founded? What
contributed to the growth of
the National Urban League?
Digital Collage/ Poster
Create a digital collage/ poster
representing some aspect of the
progressive era. Ideas include:
Americanization movement,
Reformers beliefs, NAACP,
Progressive movement. The
collage/ poster should include a
title, 10 images, and shirt
descriptions supporting your
images.
Tour Guide Brochure
Imagine you were a Tour Guide
for someone during the
Americanization Movement,
create a brochure on where
they should visit and what they
should do on their trip as
reformers for this cause.
Include: current political
climate, what the American
Movement was, where
Reformers should visit to share
their beliefs towards
progressivism.
Padlet Reflection Response
Using Padlet respond to the
three reflection questions
pertaining to the struggle
against Discrimination.
Questions Include: How did
minority groups take action
against discrimination and
social problems? Why would
learning about the events that
impacted minority groups and
efforts towards progress be
important to your life today?
What types of connections
could you make from this lesson
to events in today's world?
Read through the other

In 2-3 paragraphs Compare and

and W.E.B Du Bois focusing on
how they differ in their
perspectives on addressing
racial issues in America.

Create a timeline on progress
towards Civil Rights. Include
dates: 1883, 1896, 1905, 1908,
1909, and 1911. Identify what
was occurring during each of
these years.

Create a political cartoon
representing some aspect of the
progressive era. Ideas include:
Americanization movement,
Reformers beliefs, NAACP,
Progressive movement. The
political carton should be
colored and it should include a
brief paragraph explaining what
your political carton represents.

Cover
Create a front cover article on a
current event that you find
similarities with from the
progressive era. Include a
headline, paragraph, connection
to the progressive era, and an
image.
