TECHNICAL REPORT OF ELEVATOR

On Thursday evening, an incident was detected in one of ours company

lifts. The elevator is located in Ronda de Toledo, Madrid.
When I arrived on Friday morning, I made all the checks that we usually
do. I detect that one cable of the elevator was damaged. It could have
been produced by an overload or by some defect of the cable material.
Fortunately, the cable didn’t break.
With the purpose to fix it, we were working all day to implement the new
belt of OTIS. This belt improves the cable features and It’s flexible so It can
support variable efforts.
This failure has caused inconveniences in our client. We will need to offer
a huge discount into the next bill. Our company will lose money but will
win prestige among our clients.
To avoid that this failure ocurr again, our board of directors has decided to
change the old belts for the new OTIS's belts in all elevators of the
company. Our customer assistance service will call to all lifts owner to set
up an appointment and our technical service will go inmediately.

Subject: Inspection of ETSIDI elevator

Purpose

In this memo we are going to indicated the visual inspection of the ETSIDI elevator after two
months of operating. It is located in Ronda de Valencia, 3 (Madrid).
Problem

The inspection was designed to check the possible errors of the elevator. The elevator was
tested by our normal functionality test that verifies that everything is good. This test makes
sure the elevator have all the materials in good shape and that it’s operating ok.

Summary

Some problems were observed but none of them were serious or very important. The elevator
complied with the regulations of the test. Nothing out of the ordinary.
