When Mina Kill Dracula It an Expression of their External Love

At the end of the film, Mina was saving Dracula after he was hit by those who were

chasing him. Mina stabbed him and cut his head. Those actions are a manifestation of the eternal

love between them. He was a vampire who took many forms and disappeared at will. Vlad

Dracula is a member of the order who goes back to get his wife Elisabeth who had committed

suicide after her enemies lied to her about his death (Movie Dracula). The priest informs him that

her soul was in hell due to her actions. Dracula's renounced God vows to revenge her with all the

powers of darkness. For those actions to be reversed Dracula will have to be destroyed. Thus, his

salvation was his destruction. It meant that for Dracula to saved he had to die.

Dracula meets with Johnathan Harker and discovered the photo of his finance Mina

Harker and believes she is the reincarnation of his wife. He let his bride attack Johnathan and

goes to England. In England, as a wolf-like animal he bites Lucy who is the roommate of Mina

when Johnathan is not around (Movie Dracula). The bite was identified as a vampire and is

determined to be Dracula who did it. Dracula changes into a young man and meets with Mina.

On the other hand, Jonathan recovers and sends a word to Mina who goes to marry him in

Romania. Dracula is angered by the action of Mina going to marry Johnathan and changes Lucy

to a vampire, Lucy is then killed by Morris and others.

The count soil box is then destroyed by Mina and Johnathan. Dracula then kills Redfield

who had warned Mina about his presence. He then visits Mina and admits his actions, Mina then

remembers Elisabeth’s previous life (Movie Dracula). She admits still in love with him and

described him to be unlike any other man. It was the power of evil desire. Then Dracula starts

transforming her into a vampire and is discovered but declares her to his bride before escaping.

Van Helsing hypnotizes the mind of Mina and using her connection is able to determine that he

is sailing home with his last box.

The throat of Dracula is slit by Johnathan and Mina rushes to defend him. In the Chapel

where Dracula had renounced God, he lies dying in ancient demonic kind (Movie Dracula). Mina

shares a kiss with him and the candle lights up and the cross repairs itself. He then changes to his

younger kind and tells Mina to give him peace. The curse of Dracula is then lifted and he

decapitates and watches as Elisabeta and Vlad go into heaven and are reunited in the long run.

According to Jennings, (2017), love is difficult to understand. It refers to an intense

feeling of attraction to other people. It is feeling one gets when one sees a person whom you

think is attractive, desirable and near perfection. The feeling of Elisabeta to Dracula is a clear

indication of love. In the movie, it is seen that she feels good about when she sees him or feel he

is close. There seems to be a kind of connection between them (Sheff, 2016). The love goes

beyond attraction, Elisabeta sees the fault of Dracula the fact that he is a vampire and still

accepts him. Even when her exceptions are not met she continues to love loving him.

Getting true love is the greatest feeling for one to get in the whole world. It seems that

Dracula and Elisabeta have found each other as true love. That feeling is so getting that Dracula

renounces God while Elisabeta, as Mina goes, fights he fiancé. Both of them show true love for

each other through commitment and compassion (Sheff, 2016). The two do the imaginable and

sacrifice every for their love. In the long run, true love wins and the two are united forgive.

Dracula had a get love for his life and he decides to renounce God to revenge he death

using all powers of darkness. That action led to his curse. He has gone a long extent in hurting

the friend of Mina. While on the other side the love of his wife is clear she had committed

suicide because of him. In addition, the wife had left her fiancé for him. For Dracula to be saved

he was required to be destroyed. Therefore when Mina killed him it was an expression of her

love for him. The action led to the curse of Dracula to be lifted and Elisabeta to ascend into

heaven.
