CHARACTERS

Danvinzu Alperes: A DJ in his early 20s. Currently resides in

Spain but is touring the world as a DJ.

Andrei Flores: A man in his early 20s. He is skinny and pale. He

is usually seen wearing dark clothing.

SETTING

Takes place at the backstage of a club. The backstage is filled

with lousily placed wires. At the center is a coffee table, on

top of the coffee table is Danvinzu’s DJ equipment. The coffee

table surrounded by sofas. The room is dimly lit.

TIME

Takes place at 4am, the closing time of the club Danvinzu is

performing on.

(Danvinzu enters the backstage and immediately sits down in one

of the sofas and inhales deeply and exhales sharply.)

DANVINZU

(Soliloquy)

Whew, well that was one hell of a night. Pretty tiring but

still, it is a fun night.

(Danvinzu started to walk towards the coffee table to start

packing up his equipment when suddenly, there's a knock on the

door.)

DANVINZU

Huh, I thought I heard something.

(Someone knocks on the door again but louder this time. Danvinzu

walks towards the door and looks at the doors peephole)

DANVINZU

(Soliloquy)

Oh, maybe it’s the pizza I’ve been craving for the whole

day.

ANDREI

Uhhh... Mr. Alperes are you there?

DANVINZU

Just wait a second, how much is the cost of the pizza again?

ANDREI

Uhhh...What pizza?

DANVINZU

The one with bell peppers and pineapple, what do you call it

again? Oh yeah, Hawaiian. I don’t get it why people hate

Hawaiian. Pineapple goes really well with pizza.

Wow, you’re really a chatterbox Mr. Alperes.

DANVINZU

Oh yes, people do say that a lot. By the way, just leave the

pizza in front of the door and get the payment from my

manager.

ANDREI

Oh Mr. Alperes I’m not here to deliver your pizza.

DANVINZU

Wait what? You should have said it sooner. Anyway, what are you

here for then?

ANDREI

I’m here for an autograph, I’m a huge fan of your works.

DANVINZU

Alright then, because you’re here anyway. Come in, you’re not

a serial killer right?

(Danvinzu opens the door as Andrei chuckles nervously while

entering the room)

DANVINZU

(sits in one of the sofa, the farthest from the exit)

So, what’s your name?

ANDREI

(Sits on the sofa in front of Danvinzu.)

I’m...I’m Andrei

DANVINZU

Nice to meet you, Andrei. How did you know about me and my dj-

ing?

ANDREI

I’ve been a fan for a long time. About 10 years ago.

DANVINZU

(Chuckles)

Oh nice joke. I only started Dj-ing on stage for 3 years ago.

ANDREI

I’m not joking though.

DANVINZU

Yeah... Sure.

(Andrei stands up and approaches Danvinzu)

ANDREI

(Pulls out a notepad)

Can you please sign here? It would be such an honor for you to

leave your autograph to me.

(Turns around to inspect the backstage and proceeded to take

pictures)

(Danvinzu stands up and grabs the notepad and fishes for his

pen)

DANVINZU

Here you go.

(Accidentally drops the notepad and pick it up. Proceed to read

a little bit and his eyes widened.)

(Andrei frantically grabs the notepad out of Danvinzu’s hand.)

DANVINZU

(Loudly)

What the hell was that?

ANDREI

(Starts to sweat)

Nothing.

(Hides the notepad in the back pocket of his jeans.)

DANVINZU

What do you mean nothing, you had my personal info I there! My

name, my current address, and heck even a picture when I was

young with another kid I can’t even remember.

ANDREI

(Tries to get closer towards Danvinzu.)

I can explain.

DANVINZU

(Pushes Andrei away)

What do you mean explain? I don’t even know you.

ANDREI

Yes, you do. I know that you used to live here in the

Philippines and that you have a scar in your head due to a

surgery.

DANVINZU

What the hell. I haven’t told anyone about that, even my manager

doesn’t know about it. Only my mother and close friend know

about it.

ANDREI

(Slowly walk around Danvinzu)

I told you. I know you. But you probably don’t remember me. Do

you want to know more about me?

DANVINZU

(Softly)

Get out.

ANDREI

(Shocked)

What?

(Louder)

I said. Get out!

ANDREI

(Walks out the backstage and turns around)

One day you will remember me, one day.

(Walks out)

(Danvinzu’s phone starts ringing)

DANVINZU

(Inhales deeply and accepts the phone call)

Hi mom.

(Silence for 3 seconds)

Yeah the night was successful but there was this one crazy fan

though.

(Silence for 3 seconds)

Yes, I’m safe. Just one of those creepy know it all fan.

(Silence for 3 seconds)

Huh, a childhood friend of mine is coming?

(Silence for 3 seconds)

What’s his name so that I can welcome him at the club?

(Silence for 3 seconds)

Wait. His name is Andrei?

(Silence for 3 seconds)

What does he look like? Does he wear dark clothing?

Does he have black hair?

(Silence for 3 seconds)

Oh shit. Uh...I’ll call you later ma.

(Ends the call and looks outside the door. Andrei enters the

room and sits at the sofa.)

ANDREI

(Smirks)

See, I knew that you would remember me.
