The worst choice

Sometimes when you take a risk everything could go wrong and not the way you
wished to. One year ago I broke my knee playing soccer because I pushed it too
hard. I had a previous problem in my knee a while ago and my Traumatologist
said that I should rest at least for 5 months. Nowadays, looking back on my
decision I totally regret what I did back then, I should have taken another decision.
The first time when I had a problem in my knee was 3 months before It broke. I
was walking up a few stairs but I slipped and injured my knee. After that I tried to
get up even though my knee was hurting a lot, unfortunately I couldn´t so I had
to call some friends to pick me up and leave me in my house. Then I went to the
traumatologist and he told me to rest at least for 5 months.
Three months later after I checked my knee with the traumatologist I went to play
with my soccer team in spite of what the doctor said. I was feeling better that´s
why thought I could play without problem but I was naïve thinking that nothing
was going to happen, nevertheless twenty minutes later I overdid myself trying to
get a ball and then I felt pain in my knee and finally fell. I couldn´t get up anymore
and I had to go to the hospital.
Thinking back in what I did and what would have happened if I had listened to the
doctor, now I regret the decision I took; I would be playing soccer every weekend
but now I have to rest for 1 year and I won’t be able to play like I used to. The
result of my choice was so terrible and I won´t do it again.
