Reflection Paper

One of the most crucial things you can do for our health is to exercise regularly.
Physical activities can strengthen our bones and muscles, help us maintain a healthy weight,
increase our ability to carry out daily tasks, and improves our cognitive health. Ever since, I am
having hard time in making my exercise program since I am lazy or it’s not my priority back
then. Coming from a 2 years pandemic lockdown staying only in our home scrolling through my
phone, watching movies, eating foods which is not healthy and the like has been I only do.
Making exercise has not been my priority since I am not that type of person which is health and
body conscious.

I have this subject in college wherein I am task to make a exercise training program
which I will follow everyday. I can say that following these sets of activities everyday has been a
challenge to me. Everyday, I need to wake up early for me to be able to perform such activities.
Doing the shoulder stretches and kneeling lunges have been my favorite exercise among them
all. I don’t know the reason but I love doing it. I can say that doing jumping rope has been the
hardest activity. In just a minute, I am tired since I should jump at a time so I can go with the
position of the rope. Moreover, I was not able to perform playing badminton during the 3 rd and
4th week since my badminton was broken as I’m saddened about it since I really wanted to learn
and enhance my playing.As a matter of fact, in the first week , I’ve experienced body pain after I
perform those activities since my body is not use to it but I believe that the pain will be worth it
in the end. After following these activities for 1 month, I’ve come to realized that doing physical
activities is a must thing to do. By accomplishing these activities, it makes me happy that I did it.
Also, over time, I never expected that I will love doing exercises since I am focus on scrolling on
my phone watching TikTok videos. I am proud of myself by not giving up on doing exercises
even it is too hard.

One thing I realized after this training program is that every pain will be always worth
it in the end. It maybe hard in the beginning but it is part of the process. If you failed on the first
time, try and try. Look at me, I tried different sets of activities in which I am comfortable since I
can’t execute such activities before. One advice I will give to others before doing training
program is having a long patience. You have to be extra patient because it will be a long journey.
Before it’s too late, try doing exercises to become physically and mentally healthy.
NARRATIVE REPORT:

In performing exercise activities, we may encounter hindrances or barriers during

the activity or even before performing it. One of my programmed activity in my fitness program

is playing badminton once a week. During the 1 st and 2nd week, I am able to finish and play

badminton for 15 minutes and was able to document it. Last December 17, my cousin borrowed

my badminton and I let them borrow it. While they are resting after playing, her little sister

borrowed that badminton and she suddenly hit it on the bleachers of our barangay plaza. Her

sister can’t do anything about it since it was already broke.In connection with the hindrance I

stated above, I was not able to perform my 3 rd and 4th week of playing badminton. As much as I

wanted to perform it, I don’t have equipment to use. I tried borrowing on my friends but they

don’t have badminton since there sport is volleyball. I was thinking to buy badminton but some

unexpected things came up so I use that money to buy things which I will use in school. I had to

use that money on more important things. I hope this next weeks, I will be able to save up from

my allowance so that I can buy one. After 1 month of this training program, I am planning to

continue it so I can also enhance my skills in playing badminton since I’m not good at it.
