    The Castri llo sculpture was commissioned in 1975 to represent humane communication. It was originally located at the old Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS) office but was transferred in 1982 to the PBS compound in Valenzuela City. The sculpture deteriorated over time. In 2016, the city council declared it a local cultural icon and the sculpture was transferred to the new Polytechnic University of the Philippines campus in Valenzuela for restoration and preservation. The restored sculpture was unveiled in January 2018 as part of the campus inauguration.
