Quality of Learning and Instruction of DepEd Madrasah Education Program

Objective

To evaluate the quality of instruction and quality of learning of the DepEd Madrasah Commented [R1]: Just make sure that this term is defined
operationally. What do you mean by quality? Your definition should
revolve on this.
Education, specifically ALIVE Program in the schools of Iligan City Division

quality instruction embraces the soundness of all teaching and learning transactions in the classroom. It

manifests itself in the use of appropriate instructional strategies to evoke enduring learning. In this

paper, quality instruction is defined as the degree to which an instruction is adequately delivered, meets

students’ learning needs, learning styles, interests, expectations, and is well aligned to standards. It is a

composite of andragogical competency, adequate preparation and effective organizational skills;

currency of knowledge of content; technological competency, resourcefulness, and instructors’

Delivering high-quality instruction starts with identifying the academic and early learning standards,

behavioral expectations, and social and emotional competencies valued by the community for

learner college and career readiness.

What is Quality Learning

Learning that is purposeful, learning in which learners are provided with the ability to effectively learn,
and retain skills and knowledge gained. It is usually associated with or based on student satisfaction with
the learning process.
What is Quality of Learning

Refers to how well the learning opportunities available to students help them to become knowledgeable
citizens who have problem-solving skills, relevant work skills and good inter-personal skills. Quality
learning focuses on what happens to the student while in school for his or her benefit in future.

Statement of the tatProblem

This study proposes to address the following questions:


1. What is the level of readiness of DepEd Madrasah Asatidz in teaching Arabic Commented [R2]: Just make sure that readiness must relate
with what you term as “quality”. This variable on “readiness” can
be answered using a questionnaire.

2. What are the problems encountered in the teaching of Arabic Language and Commented [R3]: This can be answered using FGD and key
informant interview.

3. How is quality teaching understood by the DepEd Madrasah Asatidz? Commented [R4]: To elicit data on this query it should be done
by either FGD or Key Informant Interview.

4. What are the needs, issues and concerns do the madrasah implementers

experienced in implementing Madrasah Education Program? Commented [R5]: Same comment as R4.

5. How What quality of instruction is defined by the DepEd Madrasah Asatidz and Commented [R6]: Which do you think is more appropriate
“how” or “what”? From the way I see it, the latter is more
appropriate, what do you think?
