Revisit the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) found in the LDM2
Course Overview. Reflect on your self-assessment from Activity 1. What particular
professional standards in the PPST do you need to focus on to effectively use the LDMs in
relation to the content and pedagogy of the learning area/s you are teaching? Write your
answer and other insights in your Study Notebook.
The mission of educational system is the same in this time of pandemic. It is to overcome the learning
crisis we were already living and respond to the pandemic we are facing. Within the academic areas,
the content standards seemed to range from a focus on basic knowledge and skills. The standard affirms
the importanceof learning in the areas of professional knowledge, practice and engagement for all
teachers and school leaders to achieve improvement in student outcomes. Quality learning is contingent
upon quality teaching.
