Scene 1
Setting: Moriartea Café
Characters: Sigmund – the boyfriend
Maviel – the girlfriend
Nikolai – coworker
Landice – coworker
Maviel enters Moriartea Café early in the morning. Sigmund, Nikolai and Landice is already there.
MAVIEL. Where’s Sigmund?
NIKOLAI. Hmm? Right behind you.
MAVIEL. (looks back) Sigmund.
SIGMUND. Miss me, sweetie?
He had that annoying smirk plastered on his beautiful face.
MAVIEL. Come with me. (reaches out for Sigmund’s hand)
SIGMUND. (dodged) Oh dear, love, I know what you’re about to do.
MAVIEL. Really?
SIGMUND. Yes, my belladonna—
MAVIEL. You know that I’m breaking up with you?
Sigmund was stopped by Maviel’s words. Have he heard it right?
NIKOLAI. Ugh… you two better to talk it out with a cup of tea.
Scene 2
Setting: Upper Floor of the Moriartea Café
Characters: Sigmund – bf
Maviel – gf
Landice – coworker
Landice arrives with a tray filled with 2 cups of tea and a small cup filled with sugar.
SIGMUND. …So tell me, what’s wrong, Maviel?
MAVIEL. I told you, I would like to break up with you.

SIGMUND. May you be so kind to tell me the person who gave you a threat so you would break your amazing
 relationship with me?
MAVIEL. Nobody told me to break up with you, Sig. I am doing this by my own will.
SIGMUND. Then, tell me sweetheart, what is your reason? The relationship was going good.
MAVIEL. Yes, it is going good… or so that is what you’re trying to show me.
SIGMUND: What do you mean? (sips tea)
MAVIEL. You’re… experimenting me, aren’t you?
SIGMUND. I don’t know what you’re talking about, honey.
MAVIEL. (creases forehead) I found your thesis paper. Somebody left it in my locker yesterday.
SIGMUND. (smiles) And?
MAVIEL. Research on Human Emotions: A snippet to a human’s mind; it was the title of your thesis. And in the
introduction part, “I have acquired my test subject by involving myself into a relationship with her.”.
SIGMUND. Ahh~ I didn’t know who placed that in your locker but since you’ve already read it, then might as well tell
you the truth.
For a man who was acclaimed to be guilty, Sigmund is still as calm as ever.
SIGMUND. Yes, belladonna, I used you for my thesis. You are indeed, my test subject.
Scene 3
Setting: Upper floor of the Moriartea Café
Characters: Sigmund – bf
Maviel – gf
MAVIEL. …Why?
SIGMUND. My sweet, sweet belladonna, you know that I’m a psychology student. I, at least need to have my test
subject. And as taught to us, the human mind is easily attracted to sweet things. I am quite disappointed
that you didn’t figure this out earlier, though.
MAVIEL. You… (angry)
She was cheated. But the anger is stronger than the pain she’s feeling.
SIGMUND. Calm down and drink your tea, Maviel. (still smiling) (sips tea)
MAVIEL. I will wipe that smile off of your face, Sigmund, if not for this table separating us. (drinks the tea in one gulp)
SIGMUND. Mhm. Belladonna—
MAVIEL. Stop calling me that.
SIGMUND. My belladonna, I would like to ask you a question.
MAVIEL. I told you to—Ugh! Never mind. What do you want?
SIGMUND. (finally finished his tea) Would you like to have double suicide with me?
He seriously looked at Maviel’s brown eyes; which sent a shiver down Maviel’s spine.
MAVIEL. Are you stupid? I can’t believe I entered into a relationship with a psycho.
SIGMUND. Ah! That hurts! (dramatically holds his chest)
MAVIEL. If we have nothing more to talk about, I’m leaving.
SIGMUND. Wait, love. (stands up and walks over to Maviel)
MAVIEL. What do you want from me now?
SIGMUND. (leans in and holds her chin up) My sweet darling, haven’t you also deduced that you just drank a tea
with belladonna?
MAVIEL. (widens eyes) What?
SIGMUND. Oh, don’t get so scared. I told you before, haven’t I? I would like to have double suicide with you.
And as Sigmund placed a soft kiss on Maviel’s lips, they both fell into a deep slumber for eternity.
Nikolai and Landice arrives.
NIKOLAI. Why did you set him up?
LANDICE. ...It’s time for him to stop causing nuisance to this café.
NIKOLAI. (sighs) I’ll clean up.
LANDICE. … Bury them beside each other.
NIKOLAI. Mhm.
