NSTP MODULE 2

St. Pius X Parish was born out of the Holy Family Parish in San Andres Bukid,
Sta. Ana. Manila. Originally, it was a small chapel at Jade St., Onyx Ave., Paco, Manila
which served as temporary seat of the Parish while in search of a better place to
accommodate its faithful. On March 29, 1968, by virtue of the erection decree, His
Eminence Rufino Cardinal Santos, then Archbishop of Manila, formally established St.
Pius X Parish. Thus, on the occasion of the Patron Saint’s feast day, His Eminence Jaime
Cardinal Sin solemnly inaugurated the Church of St. Pius X on August 21, 1975. The
Parish of St. Pius X is living up to its Patron Saint’s motto “Unite all things in Christ”.
With all the works done by its past and present Parish Priest, this humble Parish enjoys
the ever-loving and gentle hands of God as He slowly molds the Parishioners into
becoming a working, loving, and praying community where Christ is its focal point.

Reflection
1. My perspective on the community development programs implemented by my
parish is that as a non-regular person who visits my parish, I am proud of what
my place of worship is done in our community. My parish is very active when it
comes to community service and activities that will encourage everyone to have
faith to God. I once attended a seminar where all the teens in our community
gets to participate and, in this activity, we get to know what the parish have for
us.
2. For. me I really recommend my parish in terms of these circumstances because
our community gets a lot of benefits in terms of spiritual and personally.
3. As a Thomasian I can exhibit;
Competence
- By being engaged and always prepared in all the activities of the Parish.
Doing my best to promote within our community the values of the youth.

Compassion
- Being passionate in doing charity and helping others with a clean and pure
heart is one way to God’s heart. We are called to serve our less fortunate sisters and
brothers with compassionate heart.

Commitment
- Committed to the Parish is also being committed to God and His works.
