Information re.

electric starting and battery configuration

Electric starter:
Version: 24 V - 2-pole. 2-pole insulation is required for the connection between starter and battery.
Battery type and size:
Depend on whether separate or joint batteries are used for control system and starter.
It is recommended to have separate batteries for starting and diesel control. See table below for battery size required. For the diesel control, a battery
size of appr. 60 Ah is recommended.
If contol system and starter use the same battery, the diesel control system requirements regarding operating voltage, current consumption etc. must be
taken into account.
The control voltage must not fall below 18 V.
The control voltage must always be provided directly by the battery, not by the starter.
Battery setup:
Short cables with suitable cross- section between starter and battery prevent significant voltage drop.
