Action" Self-Study Course Information

(Basic)
Thank you for purchasing this course. Congratulations for taking this solid
step towards becoming a consistent trader.

This is a short guide to orientate you to the course materials, and to help
you get started quickly.

Course Materials

This course consists of the following.

PDF Course Books

The four PDF Course Books form the bulk of the course content.

1. Market Perspectives
2. Market Bias
3. Price Patterns
4. Positive Expectancy

Each book builds on the concepts in previous volumes. Hence, it is

recommended that you read them in sequence to fully understand the
price action trading framework.

Excel Trading Toolkit

The Trading Toolkit is an Excel Workbook that consists a set of tools and
templates for implementing the trading framework.
Tools and Templates Description

becoming a full-time day trader. Use this to
guide your progress.

and guidelines.

Risk Management Card A template to help you manage the business

risk of your trading activities.

the Course Books.

You can find resources referred to in the course on this webpage. (E.g.
trading books, software, websites)

Suggested Study Procedures

1. Take a look at the Checklist for Day Trading in the Excel Toolkit to
get an overview of what to expect and to identify the stage you are
currently at.

2. Then, start reading Volume I of the Course Books. It sets the

expectations for this course and introduces the larger picture of
day trading with price action.
2. From Volume II onwards, you should have a charting platform
ready to learn the concepts in the course. A hands-on approach is
the best way to make the most out of this course. This means
trying out the ideas and concepts on your own price charts as you
learn.

You can use your existing charting platform for this purpose. If you
do not have one, NinjaTrader is recommended.

In this course, there are two benefits of using NinjaTrader.

The first is that the Course Indicators are meant for NinjaTrader.
The indicators are useful for learning to recognise the price
patterns in Volume III, and implementing other trading concepts
mentioned in the course.

(The Indicators are not included for the Basic Package. However,
if you wish to purchase them separately after reviewing the
course, please email Galen Woods for the purchase link.)

The second is that Trading Setups Review has partnered

NinjaTrader Brokerage to offer you a demo account with free
futures data. Together with the free NinjaTrader Platform license,
you can learn how to trade with price action in a demo account for
free.

Click here to get your demo account with free one-month futures
data.

3. Volume II, Volume III, and the first half of Volume IV include
numerous trading chart examples. Review each example carefully
and make sure that you understand each one before moving on to
the next.

At the same time, try to apply the same concepts on current price
charts to internalise them.
4. As you move on to Volume IV, you will learn about the risk
management concepts and real-time analysis techniques. Use the
Trading Toolkit to help you implement them.
