1. Open the ArcMap application

2. Click the Add Data button on the tool bar

3. Select the satellite image file that will be used, this time used, DEM SRTM 1-Arc-Second Global
Image in Jepara Regency.
4. Open a search window, and search for fill, select Fill (Spatial Analyst) (Tool)
5. Fill it with inputting the DEM image that was added before

6. Then do the Flow Direction by entering the search window then looking for flow, select Flow
Direction (Spatial Analyst) (Tool).
7. In the Flow Direction window, select the file that has been previously filled, for output files can be
ignored, click OK.

8. The results of the Flow Direction will be like in this picture

9. Perform Flow Accumulation by entering the search window looking for flow, select Flow
Accumulation (Spatial Analyst) (Tool).
11. For Input select the result file from Flow Direction "FlowDir_Fill1", for output to be ignored, then
click OK.
12. The results of Flow Accumulation will be displayed as shown below, uncheck the others and
checklist the results of Flow Accumulation, so that it does not become a miss interpretation.

13. Enter the Search window, search for the raster calculator, select Raster Calculator (Spatial
Analyst) (Tool).

14. Enter the results of Flow Accumulation that has been generated previously into the Log10
formula ("FlowAcc_Flow1"), this formula aims to eliminate pixels that have a value of 0, then click
Ok.
15. Following the results from the Log10 calculation, it looks rough, but the river pattern becomes
clear
16. Enter the Search window, search for the raster calculator, select Raster Calculator (Spatial
Analyst) (Tool)

17. Use the Raster Calculator again using the Conditional (Con) function, then use the results from
the Log10 that has been generated previously "Con (flowacc_flo6"> = 3, "flowacc_flo6)" which
means that flow accumulation with pixel values greater than 3 will be the final result This flow
accumulation, 3 is a pixel value which means that if the DEM SRTM 1-Arc-Second Global image has a
spatial resolution of 30 meters, it means 30 x 3 = 90 m2, then a river with an area of less than 90 m2
will not be displayed at the last flow accumulation.
18. Following are the results of the Conditional (Con) function

19. In order to show the oldest and youngest river order, the color can be changed by right-clicking
on the result of the last conditional function, select Properties
Enter the Symbology menu, select Color Ramp as desired, then click OK.

20. Disclose the order of the river will be seen the difference, the lighter color (yellow) is the first
order, while the more concentrated color (purple) is the last order of the river.
