2. Design a fixed bias Bistable multi vibrator to meet the fallowing
specifications. Vcc=Vbb=12V,Ic(sat)=4mA,hFE(min)=20.
3. With the help of neat circuit diagram, explain the working principle of bi
stable multi vibrator with necessary wave forms at both bases and
collectors.
4. A fixed biased binary uses npn silicon transistors with worst case
(maximum) values of VCE (sat) =0.3V, VBE (sat) =0.7V, VBE(cutoff) = 0V and
circuit parameters are: VCC = VBB=10V, RC = 2K, R1 = 5K, R2 = 20K. Find
hFE(min) and verify that one transistor is OFF and other is ON. Find the
stable currents and stable voltages.
5. For a Common emitter transistor circuit with VCC =15V, RC = 1.5KΩ,
Show the transistor power dissipation (a) at cutoff (b) at saturation.

1. Derive the expressions for UTP and LTP of a Schmitt trigger circuit.
2. Utilize the concept of Astable Multivibrator for a voltage to frequency
converter.
3. Solve the expression for time period of mono stable multivibrator.
4. With the help of neat circuit diagram and waveforms, Model the working
of a Schmitt trigger.
5. Solve the expression for time period of mono stable multivibrator.
6. Analyze the pulse width, period and frequency of output of an astable
multivibrator given R1 = R2=100 KΩ, C1=C2=0.1µF.
7. Identify the Mono stable multi vibrator can be used as a voltage to time
converter.

UNIT-5
1. Inspect the cancellation of pedestal in a sampling gate with suitable
circuit diagram.

base generator and derive the relation between them.
4. Inspect the working of bi-directional sampling gates with two
transistors.
5. With the help of a neat diagram, Inspect the working of a bidirectional
four-diode sampling gate.
6. With neat circuit and waveforms inference the operational performance
of UJT sweep generator. And derive the expression for frequency of
oscillations.
7. Explain the operation of bootstrap time base generator.
