The Joy of Perspective - The Real First Person Mod

Version: 2.0.2 Beta

**Please read the 'Description' before asking questions. Please read 'Known Issues'
before reporting bugs or posting in the comments section. Thanks!**

============
Description
============

Attention: Backup your files before the installation.

This is an beta version and a work in progress. Make sure to read the Installation
Instructions carefully!

JoP v2.0.2 is not compatible with any 1st person skeleton replacers created for
older versions of JoP.

=============
What it does
=============

The Joy of Perspective project is a complete overhaul of Skyrim's first person that
adds more realistic animations and a visible body. Animations can be chosen between
the more realistic 3rd person style animations (where weapons are held off screen)
and vanilla style animations.

This new version of Joy of Perspective adds a new skeleton and animations that look
almost exactly like vanilla 1st person.

Recommended FOV is 85 or lower. FOV settings above 85 may introduce clipping bugs.

Skyrim

=======================
Main Mod Installation:
=======================

Attention: Remove all previous versions of this mod before you install v2.0.2 Beta.

1. Activate 'The Joy of Perspective v2.0.2 Beta' in NMM and follow instructions.

* For manual installation, extract the contents of the "00 Core" folder to your
Skyrim data folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data). The '00
Core' folder installs the female movement animations, hybrid weapon stance (3rd
person weapons, 1st person magic), and vanilla animations by default. If you prefer
something else, the other folders can be extracted into your data folder.

The "31 Optional Movement Behaviors" can be installed to enable additional movement
direction animations (forward/backward-left/right). These have less quality when
using Vanilla Combat Stance animations.

2. Click yes to overwrite all files/folders if prompted.

Note: Do not use any 1st person skeleton mods unless they are updated to work for
JoP v2.0.2. Any skeleton mods created for earlier versions of JoP are not
compatible with v2.0.2.

=========
Removal:
=========

If removal via NMM fails a manual removal can be performed as follows:

1. Delete the following folder from your Skyrim install directory:

'Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\_1stperson'

2. Delete the JOP SKSE plugin:

'Data\SKSE\Plugins\SKSE_JoyOfPerspective.dll'

=====================
Update Instructions:
=====================

If you're updating from a previous version, please delete all files from the
previous version before unpacking the archive.

==============
Known Issues:
==============

- The player does not cast a shadow.

- Feet do not have correct movement if you are moving when attacking/blocking.
- Your arms can sometimes clip into your body when looking down during certain
animations.
- When swimming on the surface, your body may appear to be floating above the
water.
