OT Observation Hours Reflection

For graduate school, we are required to complete a certain amount of observation hours

for applications. With these, there is a lot of information to be learned and observed when with

these individuals. This was not the only Occupational Therapist that I had observed for graduate

school, but I learned the most when I was with her. As stated in the document, I was with

Rebecca Paez from Fox Therapy. I had observed the geriatric population during my time with

her, which really interested me more in the career. When being with the pediatric population,

there is a lot of patience that is required. Although there is just about the same patience required

for the geriatric population, these individuals were easier for me to interact with. I have changed

from this experience in a way that I did not think I would. Rebecca has been with the pediatric

population before and has said herself that she loves the geriatric population much more. The

activities that we had performed with her patients were fun and interactive in a way that I was

able to get involved as well. From this experience, I am ready for my future career in

Occupational Therapist.
